Mostly country, rock, or old big band and swing music.

I like action films, comedies, romantic films, and sci-fi. I'm also into the old films of yesterday, the real classics of the silver screen.

Reenacting, airsoft, I also dabble in computer games a bit. Studying and research of both the paranormal, and history.

I'm a former soldier, although I'm working to get back into the reserves. Spent a year in the sandbox, I was a bradley mechanic, but I wrenched on just about any vehicle in the motor pool. If all goes well, I'll be calling myself an MP real soon, though.

As far as interests, I am into the paranormal. (Obviously, or I wouldn't be here. :) ) I just recently got into it, would really like to start investigating. I haven't been on one yet, I've been researching and listening to experts a bit before I start into it, mainly watching Ghosthunters, and listening to podcasts like Beyond Reality and TAPS Family Radio. Not interested in this stuff for a cheap thrill, or to get notoriety, I want to help give some people peace of mind and sanity.

As far as other interests... I am a big history buff, but specifically the 40's/WW2 era. I am a WW2 reenactor, portraying mainly the 84th Infantry Division, as that's the local group I found most to my liking. I also reenact the 1st Cav as that is the unit I was part of when I served.

Other interests include airsoft, which is about like paintball, but more realistic and not as messy. I do some computer gaming, but not as much as I used to. Love music, although I don't play any instruments. Unless you count Guitar Hero, cause I love that game. Not to good, but I just like making music. Maybe someday I'll get an accoustic guitar and play the real thing.

Intelligence, common sense, humor. People who are interested in history, and the paranormal, specifically unlocking the secrets of it.

Rude, annoying, and petty people.

Hey there!  Long time ... no write.  Since then, I found an amazing site (like IAH) but for historical reenactors.  ALL time periods.  I was shocked.  I had no idea there was so much going on here and in Europe.  WWII is big (as you said).  The American Civil War is big over in the UK. Wow!  That would be odd to be in England and wander around taking pix of a American Civil War event.

Trick or TreatThe American tradition of "trick-or-treating" probably dates back to the early All Souls' Day parades in England. During the festivities, poor citizens would beg for food and families would give them pastries called "soul cakes" in return for their promise to pray for the family's dead relatives.

"When the trees their summer splendor
Change to raiment red and gold,
When the summer moon turns mellow,
And the nights are getting cold;
When the squirrels hide their acorns,
And the woodchucks disappear;
Then we know that it is autumn,
Loveliest season of the year."

He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

When we are afraid we ought not to occupy ourselves with endeavoring to prove that there is no danger, but in strengthening ourselves to go on in spite of the danger. ~Mark Rutherford
