Another list that is too long. Here is a quick snapshot: Beastie Boys, Phish, Soul Coughing, Grateful Dead, ALO, I LOVE drum & bass music, Jem, Portishead... this list just goes on and on.

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, To Kill a Mockingbird, A Farewell to Arms, The Life of Pi, Memoirs of a Geisha, A Confederacy of Dunces, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Anything Stephen King - The Dark Tower series in particular, Wicked, The entire Harry Potter series.

List is way too long. Pulp Fiction is my favorite movie (anything by Q.T. is A-okay in my book). Donnie Darko, American History X, The Believer, Dazed and Confuzed, Poltergeist, The list of horror movies would take up an entire page.

I'm 31 years old and have always, for as long as I can remember, had an intense interest in the paranormal and the unknown in general. I'm the Case Manager for Heartland Paranormal Investigations (www.heartlandparanormal.com). I'm a freelance writer. I adore nature and all living (and unliving) things. I love hiking and camping and being outside at night - it's thrilling to be surrounded by nature and darkness. Recently my mind has been opened to things I hadn't considered and I'm on a 'quest' of sorts to explore these things and gain as much knowledge as I can.

Knowledge, things that go bump in the night. Standing in the middle of the forest at night while the wind whips through the trees around me. Prose.

Closed-minded people. Bad drivers.

Besides the obvious... writing, camping, reading, reading, reading, re... oh... um anything involving the outdoors and nature, live music, playing piano, seeking knowledge about all things paranormal and just... knowledge.

Just stopping by to say hi and catch up with everyone. It's been a long month here, sorry I haven't been around to much. It's been just crazy here. Things are starting to look up a bit. My dad got out of the hospital recovering from a small heart attack, my mom is home recovering from her first heart attack after two weeks in the hospital. Hopefully things will go better now that we have them both back at home again. My mom has a long road ahead of her, but God willing things will go good for her, I don't think she will ever be back to normal, but she's doing ok.

Phil took me up north Sunday, to try to get some more work done on our camper we are building and darned if I didn't pull my back out again. Heck, this too will get better. I still had a nice day, and it felt good to just get away. Hope all is going well with you. Hope you have a wonderful week. Hugs, Vicky

Just stopping by to say hi. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Sorry I haven't been around to much. I've been keeping busy with my mom, we just got her home from the hospital after a two week stay. It will sure be nice to have her home and not have to run to Madison all the time. Take care. Hugs, Vicky

Here we are once again the beginning of the summer season!!! Shades of long summer days, suntans, camping, and lots of other outdoor activities. This years holiday is already being suppressed by rising cost of fuel, foods, and everything else except opinions, (they are still free)!!!

Remember that there is all kinds of fun, some you don't have to go far to find. Memorial day is full of (fallen hero's), as well as veteran based activities in any town USA. I'm sure some of you are saying, what kind of freak is this guy? Try something new this time close to home!!! Some of us will get drunk and crazy, what does it matter where you do it, most of us won't know the difference by midnight! Find someone with a pool, have a pig roast, keg party. Fun is Fun, no matter where you are!

Just do this freak a big favor and stop for just a minute and say a thank you to the lost souls who did what they did, so you could be all depressed because you can't go to the beach!!! Find that Christmas spirit we all seem to have where we are almost nice to each other. Shake a soldier's hand, tell a disabled veteran, as well as any veteran how much their sacrifice means to us. For god's sake folks it is only one day!!!! Be nice for a few hours! It is a start, we are standing on the edge of a time when things will be very different for Americans. Food shortages, heating and cooling costs we might have to choose to eat Ramen noodles (like college kids) to buy fuel?

Maybe we should start treating these great American holidays like some family reunion, where you realize that there are people there who you might never see again! Have fun!!!! Even if it hurts! Happy Memorial day, and be safe!!!

Hi Krista,
Sorry I haven't been around for awhile. We have been so darn busy at the shop. I guess it keeps me out of trouble. We have our big Syttende Mai celebration coming up in town this weekend. We will have thousands of people stopping in Stoughton. It really gets crazy around here. Sometimes I wish I could just leave town, but I also love to see what's going on, and I just love the junk street food. LOL Cotton candy, cheese curds, brats and all the great stuff like that. I can't wait for the street stands to open up. I have to get all dressed up in my Norwegian outfit for Friday and Saturday. How fun. Hope all is going well for you. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Vicky
