BOOKS
I mostly read non-fiction, history, paranormal, forensic science. If I read fiction it would be horror, King or Barker.
HOBBIES
ghost hunting, cemetery preservation, historical research and preservation, watching Formula 1 racing, soccer and Cardinal baseball.
I'm lucky enough to be the wife of an incredible husband and mother of two amazing children. I've always seemed drawn to the darker side of history: wars, crimes, epidemics, tradgedies etc. The ghost stories that seem to follow dark history is what started my preoccupation with the paranormal. Years of study into the science and protocals of ghost hunting followed. In the 4 years that I've actually been investigating, I've never had a personal experience, but that doesn't stop me from trying :). I love the historical research involved in ghost hunting and am increasingly more interested in the scientific theories behind paranormal experiences. While skeptical, I'm definitely optimistic, something has to be out there. I love history and am working on finishing my degree in American history. I collect local legends and folklore especially of Missouri. I'm also very passionate about cemetery preservation and am in the process of creating a preservation association for eastern MO. If you know of any endangered cemeteries in that area please send me their locations.
TURN ON'S
walking in the woods (my church), campfires, honest friendly people with a sense of humor, a good cup of coffee, seeing live music, odd roadside attractions, tattoos, quantum physics, vintage scooters, abandoned buildings, forensic science, and of course a good ghost story!
TURN OFF'S
ignorance, giant egos, people who spit on the ground all the time, closemindedness, people who take advantage or abuse anyone or anything weaker than themselves, vandalism and the backstabbing and drama that this field seems to generate.
"When the trees their summer splendor Change to raiment red and gold, When the summer moon turns mellow, And the nights are getting cold; When the squirrels hide their acorns, And the woodchucks disappear; Then we know that it is autumn, Loveliest season of the year." - Carol L. Riser, Autumn
He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.
When we are afraid we ought not to occupy ourselves with endeavoring to prove that there is no danger, but in strengthening ourselves to go on in spite of the danger. ~Mark Rutherford
How have you been? I've been jam-packed with moving up to Portland,
writing, and shooting the next two episodes of my show "Haunted Hoax."
The first two, 10 minute long episodes and a short “RANTS & GRAVES”
about orbs are up on YouTube now. When you have a moment, I'd
appreciate it if you'd take a look and give me your input.
I’d also welcome any future show topics or hoax challenges if you've
seen any questionable, paranormal evidence on the web lately. I hope
you enjoy and share the program with your friends and colleagues. There
are more to come — as well as my third book this summer!
