To love a person is to learn the song that is in their heart, And to sing it to them when they have forgotten.

The Cross By The Tree
In an open meadow stood one single tree, beside it a single cross. The sunrise hits the tree, the sunset hits the cross. In the shadows not hit by the sun, lies below the death of someone. From the life that springs around it, they can not seem to rise above it. Time passes by each day they once wondered why they would pay. A debit so big it soon foreclosed. Their life now but a story untold. All for the meadow, a single tree, who knew that cross was for me.
It is Real
The atmosphere was sultry yet refreshing, a slight drizzle of rain began falling in this fern saturated forest. Moss dripping off the primordial canopy the under growth was thick with sapplings and long fallen giants in various states of decomposition. I found myself off trail, even though I could clearly see it. I tried in vain, but could not reach it, as if some invisible force kept me from it. I continued to walk, seemed like miles and entered a small clearing that was bathed in a warm amber beam of sunshine peeking through the canopy ceiling. As I entered, I could feel a presence, my heart raced, adrenaline surged through out my body, I could hear a faint voice behind me. I whipped around, but saw nothing. Again I could hear a faint voice behind me. This time, I waited. Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw a figure, my heart fluttered with anticipation. Before my eyes a radiant young maiden materialized, she looked at me with fondness. I whipped around to see if perhaps she was looking at someone or something behind. There was nothing behind me, she was indeed knocking on my door. I answered with my heart, I could instantly sense that she was sincere, she was sweet, she was honest, she was strong, she was beautiful, I let her in. It was LOVE at first heart sight for me. She started to pull away and was reluctant at first, she had been hurt before. I could feel the warmth of my heart slowly tug on hers and assured her that it was real. She continued to pull back, I could feel my heart straining, the spiritual connection was being tested. The pain was harsh and intense. It became apparent that the pain I was experiencing was.....HERS. I could feel the uncertainty, I could feel self-doubt, I could feel the abandonment, I could feel her suffering. Again, I assured her that it was real. That I was sincere, that I was commited to her. That I was there to support her and that I would never ever abandon her. That I Love her and needed her in my life. She steadily crosses the threshold into my heart, tears trickle down my face. She tells me that she appreciates me, that she values me, that she Loves me and that she trusts me. She takes my hand and assures me that it is real.
The Mask
In the morning, as she wakes up
She carefully snugs the mask over her face
She cannot bear for anyone to see her secrets
Throughout her day, she's constantly reaching up
Reaching up to make sure the mask is still there
Concealing her secrets
People see her as kind
People see her as beautiful...inside and out
People see her as generous, loving, happy and peaceful
We do not see her secrets
She sees herself as ugly
She sees herself as vile, gross, and worthless
She does not deserve Love
She does not deserve anyone's attention or anything
That is her secret
She has friends, friends who notice the mask
Friends who ask her to remove it
But she cannot reveal her secret
She goes home, removes the mask
Puts it on the shelf where it'll be ready
For her to wear again tomorrow

| ABOUT ME |
My three year old son keeps me pretty busy now that he knows how to run. I've had to start working out and eating right just so I can keep up with him and be by his side when he starts to play sports. I am a Photographer/Videographer, Mechanic, Cook, Dish Washer, Gardener, Geek, Dog Walker, Music Lover, Storybook Reader, Poet, Friend, Best Friend. I have flown with angels.... Enjoy pencil and color pencil drawing as well as oil pastels. I absolutely love to hike in the foothills west of Denver and listen to the echoes of a lone Native American flute player, for the flute player is me. My favorite color is Purple. I am a Sensitive, although I don't believe that is an accurate term for my gifts. Not only can I see and hear spirit, but sense the presence and feel whether it is positive or negative energy. I can also see and feel human spirit. I can tell if a person has evil intentions. I can feel what's in your heart. I have experienced full bodied apparitions, shadows, poltergeist activity and was attacked by a really pissed off spirit.
