I hate writing about myself..no, I just can't do a good enough job of it at all. Anyhow, the short version to spare the boredom! I graduated from Trebas Inst. with a degree in Film and Television in 1996. Since then I have worked on several different projects in the industry and independent as well. Nothing huge, but always keeping myself busy. In 2002, I decided to expand my love with cinema. more so the more obscure areas here in North America. I deisgned and developed the webzine Cinema Nocturna, where along with myself, several writers from around the world share their love for films that never get their just coverage. We review material submitted from several different media outlets from around the world. Films like Italian gialli (thrillers with certain aspects), European horror, with many of them with subtitles, many here just don't give them the time of day, which is a shame given that some of the best come from this crop. Since it's humble beginnings, Cinema Nocturna has grown to be one the most respected webzines that cover these films, commanding over 600,000 monthly hits.
I have also been very interested in the paranormal since I was a kid. The unknown usually gives one fear, not me, I feed of it's energy. From the events that happened to me when I was younger, I formed an interest in looking more closely into what makes these unseen elements continue to intrigue us. In 2005 I formed Southern Ontario Paranormal Society (SOPS). A non-profit group that investigates the paranormal in most of Southern Ontario and other parts of Ontario and the US. Over the almost 2 years of it's existance, it has had a rapid growth through continous newtorking. For it's the networking, working with others that will get us closer to the answers we all seek.
In the last 6 months or so I have been co-producing two radio shows, one called DARKER SIDE OF THE MOON RADIO and the called THE LAURA MOON SHOW (formerly FULL MOON RADIO). Check the links above to see more details about the two shows.
Hey hows it goin? Wishing you a very blessed Saturday..May joy fill your heart and wonder fill your soul. Take it easy and Bless you always!! ~* Kat *~
I am thinking of starting a free banner exchange for anyone with a paranormal website. If you think this is a good idea then let me know. If there is enough interest I'd start it up.
