Blog Entry: Well , it has been a rough last week for us. Hurricane Gustav came to town and wiped ou t our power and took alot of homes as well as other things. We got a bit of damage to our home, but nothing more than power loss, broken fences, a tree in our pool and some missing shingles.We were fortunate to say the least. Now, most of us are tired, hot & still with out power at our home, but we are grateful to be ok. I'm with the inlaws and they have a generator so life has been a little easier. We are supposed to get power back this Tuesday where we live in Denham Springs, but some places/parishes will not be restored for another 20 days. Monday I'll be getting back to work.. yayyy. It has been a week of unplanned vacation . Now, I see where now Hurricane IKE may be a factor for us as well as our Florida neighbors again. I sure hope not.
