Subject: Earthbound spirits and Christianity
Content: This question has plagued me for quite some time. I am a protestant christian and therefore have no problem believing in Angels or demons, but I struggle with the concept of earth-bound human spirits. It simply does not "fit" into my traditional religios beliefs (which could be misguided)
Being raised protestant, I wan't taught about purgatory or limbo, so I guess that could explain a little.
Can any christian here, protectant or catholic, help me through either scripture or rationalization to understand how human spirits can be earth-bound without it conflicting with the foundations of the christian faith?
