Subject: Psychics
Content: I am sure this has been discussed before. But, I have been doing a lot of thinking about this lately.
What are everyone thoughts on people who "speak with the dead" or psychics?
-Sometimes, it seems that thier light is on. And sometimes they seem to be reaching for something that isn't there.
-Why do they almost always seem like pushy wierd people?
Does the 2nd thing have anything to do with the first? Are they just playing a part and being what they think people expect?
I am not an authority on any of this. And I do not mean to offend anyone.
I just wonder if maybe it is a certain personality type that pretends to be this way and they are getting attention. Or if being this way causes you to be a pushy wierd person? Maybe there are some non-wierd non-pushy people who are psychic. But, if I see another show where some person says, "Of course I know that I am psychic." I will puke. Can't they just be classy and give a knowing smile? Or are they so starved for attention or to prove something that everytime they are right they want everyone to know it? What about when they aren't right? Sylvia Brown said that George Bush would not get reelected. And I recently was listening to an archive of a show where a "guest psychic" said Hillary Clinton would be the next president.
Sorry to put something like this here. But, this is the only place I could think of to seriously discuss this.
