Subject: Debunking Part 2
Content: This forum is a continuation of a blog I had posted earlier. There were a few comments I'd like to address because I think they would make a great conversation. Davtrav, you mentioned that it isn't really possible to debunk a haunting. You can merely tell them other things it "might" be. In response to that I have to say that it is possible to debunk a haunting given certain conditions. For instance I had proven beyond a reasonable doubt that what was believed to be a ghost pushing a car uphill was nothing more then an optical illusion. There was no arguement that could have been made for the ghost in that situation. Debunked fair and square. I said in my blog that asking questions while you are recording EVP shows bias and objectivity is being comprimised. Katie asked if you don't ask questions why would something answer you? Well...in my experience I've had little problems with that. I've either captured one disembodied voice talking with another or they were saying things to me as if they thought I could hear them. I think the odds are pretty they want your attention if they are doing things to freak people out. Lets keep the conversation rolling. Do you think it is possible to confirm or debunk a haunting?
