I am not a great intellectual to ponder deep to spin some complex theory about whatever but I am rereading a book. The book is called A Fearsome Doubt by Charles Todd where the main character is haunted by the spirit of the man he had executed during the Great War and has gotten me thinking about the whole nature of ghosts and such.
After all even if this spirit is just in his head he still reacts as if he is real so are some of the spirits seen in various places reflections of what is just in a persons head ? I mean theres so much we dont really understand depsite the strides forward we have made in various things. The human and way it really works isnt undersood well enough to say one thingor another for sure or not . Can what we believe be projected into someone's else consciousness so they see what we see ?
Arent the memories we carry around in our head also ghosts of what we have expereinced from the first time we fell in love or the first time we were rejected ? The grief of loss from a loved one's death where we remembered them again.. All ghosts in our head in a manner of speaking .
Any work of art can evoke such ghosts like a well crafted painting that reminds us of some favorite place we loved to visit when we were younger or some smell that reminds us of a family cook out.
Scattered reflections of our emotions from love to sorrow can create images in our head and they spread outward to effect other people at least emotionally so it also follows that that they perhaps could see these images as well.
I dont know if I am explaining what I am trying to say well enough for other people to understand as its hard to clarify enough to just put in simple words without some sort of context to put it in .
Can our memories sort of seep out to infect other people and objects such as houses or cars or trains enough to create 3 dimensional images of people and events that can last for a length of unset time and replay ?
I am not sure I answer that question 100 percent either way so I will just leave off my pondering for now
