This blog isn’t paranormal but has to do with every single person on this site. In November of last year I lost my job and a week later someone I was very close to passed away. Shortly afterward, I found myself falling into a deep dark depression. Around the same time, IAH opened its doors for the first time and I was the third person to join this site. Every morning I anxiously woke up to see who the new members were and I watched this site bloom into a thriving community. On days when I was down I would chuckle at your jokes and silly comments. Sometimes your blogs were sad and I often found myself thinking about you during the day. I enjoyed looking at your pictures and seeing your families and your pets. I met some pretty wonderful folks out here and never has anyone of you been negative to me. Each and every one of you has become part of my extended family, my life for the past 5 months. The past couple of weeks have been exceptionally hard for me due to the fact that I was on my 7th wave of interviews and I still had not been offered a job. I was seriously beginning to think that I had some sort of deformity or possible mental issues that was making people not hire me! Some of you out here stepped up to the plate and reassured me that things would work out. You checked on me daily to make sure my spirits were high and engaged me in nightly conversations to keep me busy. One person on here went out of her way to make sure I could attend a paranormal conference at little to no cost just so she and her team could meet me. I cried like a baby that day because I couldn’t believe that people who hardly knew me would help me in such a way. And so, today, I was offered 2 positions, one of which I have happily accepted and will be starting next week. My time on here will now be limited to evenings only but I wanted each and every one of you to know how much you have come to mean to me. You, as well as IAH gave my life meaning in my darkest time.
