People wasting my time

This past Hallowwen season my group was featured in three different newspapers. That's when the trouble began. It wasn't our first time in the papers. We've been there before and we've been featured in books etc. but this year I guess it's really popular to be a ghost hunter or something and I got an overwhelming response of people wanting to join our group. We've always maintained a small but dedicated group of investigators but it has been one of my goals since I began this group to teach other people the techniques of ghost hunting and gathering and documenting eveidence from my perspective. I mean I am not an expert but I am experienced and through trial and error I have learned what works for me and I have always been willing to teach other people what I have learned.

So due to all these people who would "do anything" to be a part of a group such as this we decided that we would take on some new trainee investigators. We also decided we would start what we called ghost hunt groups. These groups would consist of those that we thought were less serious about devoting time to paranormal research but just wanted to go out and try to capture something unexplained.

So we went through all the trouble of arranging meetings with people....bending over backwards to accomodate people's schedules......attempting to instruct anyone who would listen in how our group operates.....planning and setting up paranomral trips to some really good locations such at Point Lookout Lighthouse and Waverly Hils Sanitorium and none of these people can take time out of their busy schedules to complete their training.

I have two investigations lined in in the next couple of weeks. One is at a private residence and the other is at a museum house and they all want to go on those but they just can't find the time to show up for training. They have young babies and dinner plans and they can't get off work that night, if only it was on a different night.

I think they honestly beleive that just because they watch it on tv every Wednesday night that's all the training they need. I mean they are professionals now they have all attended one ghost hunt at a couple of cemeteries. I think I'm ready to close membership and go back to my small but dedicated group. Thanks for listening!

From the Desk of IAH:
I am thinking of starting a free banner exchange for anyone with a paranormal website. If you think this is a good idea then let me know. If there is enough interest I'd start it up.
