I have to undergo surgery to remove my thyroid next month. They've found some questionable nodes that are growing and choking my windpipe. And the doctors want me to do a round of radiation to zap any remaining cancer bugs. (Yes, I've had a second and third opinion.) As far as cancer goes, thyroid cancer is the least dangerous and the most treatable, so I'm not worried about the surgery. I'm more concerned about being bored. ::Sigh:: Surgery and post-treatment means I'll be laid up a bit and have lots of reading time on my hands. I love books on hauntings and investigations. I've read most of Troy Taylor and Jeff Belanger's stuff. I've read The House of 87th Avenue, Don't Call Them Ghosts and lots of other first-account stories. I have the whole collection of "Weird USA".
Does anyone have a book they would recommend? I devour books, so anything in a series or by the same author is great. If you are in the process of writing a book of your experience, I'm happy to offer my free services as your editor.
