So I met up with some local ghost hunters today and was sorely disappointed by their lack of professionalism and their lack of...well, to be blunt, manners.
One of my pet peeves is when you try to join into a conversation, and one of the people pauses, looks you up and down, and then continues as if you said nothing. This is very rude. If you don't want new members, then don't have an open invite at a coffeehouse! Just as bad, people who are the 'expert' of everything and dominate the meeting. From ghosts to energy work to changing the oil in your car, these people dispense advice like a Pez machine. (Their advice is about as good too.)
The use of pain meds really concerned me with one of the members. This lady had a bad back, but I counted seven vicodine during the course of two hours. She admitted she takes them during investigations too because 'she's in pain." She also functions as the group's medium. If she's in that much pain, she has no business being on an investigation. I'm not against the use of medication just the idea of going on a professional call half stoned, especially when doing spirit contact.
::Sigh:: I guess I should look at starting my own group again.
