Ouija

I was watching one of my favorite shows A Haunting which is on in the afternoons.  I work nights so I record it on my DVR.  Well i was sitting there watching, this one was based in Arkansas.  The house had a spirit of a little boy among others one spirit was a non-human.  Well the family contacts a paranormal research team. The team does the walk through and tells the family you have this and this and this evil spirit; we would like to contact it and whipped out a ouija board!!!

I am not an investagtor or an expert by no means.  Every place I have ever been on or looked stuff up says that these boards can be bad news....ecspecially with a non-human in the area.  I was floored when they did this anyone out there heard of this before?

Wasn't that a bad thing to do?  Or am I wrong and these ouija boards not as bad as I have heard?

My opinion of the ouija board is..and this is just my opinion.  It is no different than using EVP or any other way to communicate with the spirit world.  Now there are some people that say using one can open up portals/doorways to something evil, I do not agree.  If you can open a portal/doorway with a ouija board you can do it with evp or other means of communication.  Cause you are asking the spirit to communicate with you wether it is thru a board, digital recoreder, ect....

The team I am affiliated with, we do not use ouija boards and we never go in telling the client they got this and that with out doing a proper investigation and history background.  Those are my two cents today.

Peace everyone and Happy and safe hauntings!

What's the difference between asking to communicate with a spirit using a ouija board and an EVP session? Aren't you asking for something to come through in both cases?  I've tried several Ouija sessions with the session being recorded on audio and video as well as an EMF meter present and didn't have anythng happen, so... are all of these reports just urban legends?  Has anyone else doccumented any of these reported happenings when using an Ouija?

We have to remember when watching this show A Haunting that it is created for dramatic purposes and does not neccisarily represent the technical aspects of a proper investigation and if you are a regular watcher like myself most of the stories related here were stories that happened many years ago as far back as the 60s I have seen, so the recreation of what the investigators did or didnt do would fall with the times and the way investigations were done in those days. Take these shows with a grain of salt. For an investigator to walk in off the street and start naming off what sort of spirits you have in your home without doing any research whatsoever sounds ludicris to me. While I consider myself to be somewhat sensitive to spirits I would never tell a client my personal opinions as to what kind I thought it was unless it manifested itself in some sort of threatening way. Oujia boards are not scientific and the posibility of conjuring an unfriendly spirit is not something I would recommend. In my opinion if you play with fire your gonna get burned. It would have been better to do a cleansing than to make this spirit stronger by providing it with a way to communicate and possibly even release it from its limitations. I think a voice recorder is sufficient for communicating and would provide more solid evidence than a oijia board or a psychic communicator for that matter,  as no one else can feel or confirm what a psychic is seeing or feeling. Just my 2 cents

Metaphor-
If you have a bunch of Dogs in a yard and throw in some meat. We know how they all scramble for it, with the bigger ,stronger dog getting most, if not all of it.

The Demon is the big Dog as it bullies it way past any possible human spirits to make communication through the board or some other similar method. It's motives are highly driven towards us like a ravenous hungry Dog. And it doesn't have to be manifested yet to speak on the board.
And it can pretend to be anyone it so chooses, which it almost always does. (i.e. the spirit of a child that misses her mommy, a Teen who died tragically in a car crash. Melodrama draws us into the snare...)

So we always expect that from it, and avoid it as it also can't dicern between the type of spirt or if it is what and whom it says it really is.

Of course this can go onto say that about some "Clairvoyants"  as well.

As Discernment  is not default  with these types of sensitives, but it is a completely  separate gift as we understand .

I am thinking of Talisman's. I do not think the board itself has any power, Unless it was made by an individual for the purpose of contacting spirits, and the words and lettering on the board when making had spells associated with them by the person that made it. This type of board is a danger to anyone who touches it, other than its maker. Parker boards are what they are, just entertainment, which could lead to other things.

I agree with ChristinaMD.  If you know it's an evil nonhuman, don't try to communicate with it. That's as sensible as saying here, jump right into my body and do what you want.

Anyways, just like Kristy said, they are probably no more harmful than Crystals or downsing rods.  All use your energy to communicate (or it's really your own subconcious), it's just that ParkerBrother's hasn't figured out a way to market dowsing rods and crystals.
