I’ve been reading a lot about some concepts behind ghosts and demonology as it pertains to religion. It seems that many the scriptures are against what we all do. Obviously, for those of you who don’t believe in religion this really doesn’t apply. But for those of us who do, but also enjoy ghost hunting, I feel like I have this internal conflict.  There are scriptures that state ,and I am definitely paraphrasing here but they tell-  “ let no one……………………consult the dead”,   “Do not turn to mediums or seek out spritists….”. The bible forbids us from necromancy.  So is every paranormal investigator going against God? Essentially from my research every RELIGIOUS affiliated site, book etc states that every spirit (other then Angels, but it’s hard to tell if they are or aren’t’) has to be a demon, since the dead are dead and not allowed to speak per God. This confuses me because why do they keep saying do not speak to the “dead” instead of spirits of the “dead”, does this go back to the “dead will walk the earth again” concept? So, was there a time when “dead bodies” spoke to people and that’s what they are talking about? I know the Bible is very “symbolic”, but at the same time some of the scriptures are quite clear. Does this mean that ALL paranormal occurrences are actual demonic occurrences UFO’s , etc.. What about “residual hauntings” that are seen in some forgotten place, what are their purposes since they have are mostly non-contacting images of the past? Are all psychics and mediums given their “gifts” to aid in deception by demons? Is anyone that is on or reads this site defying God as well?

Again, these are questions that would only phase the mind of religious (usually catholic) ghost hunters I would think. Please feel free to respond to my questions, and I am being serious and mean no disrespect to anyone in anyway and would expect the same in return. I am just trying to find a happy balance without feeling such confusion.
