Unexplained Occurence

Last week, on a warm spring day, I left work to go get some lunch.  It was overcast, but not dark and it wasn't raining.  I work in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by ranches and warehouses.  As I drove down the road, my eyes glanced over at a blue dot at the edge of the woods off to the right of my car.  It was about 25 yards away.

Mind you, at first I did not really think about this blue color I was seeing at the moment other than thinking it looked to be the color of blue tape that painters and other construction people use.  Then it hit me that this was way off the road, and therefore wasn't trash or anything stuck to the barbed wire fence that surrounds the property.

I really focused on it, racking my brain as to what it might be, when it seemed to grow and come closer to me.  As it grew, it's edges faded out to a white mist and it changed color to a dark greyish blue in the middle, kind of pulsating as if the blue color was coming out of the mist.  By this time it was human sized and had a form, although not quite human, but not shapeless either.  I am not really sure how to describe it.

As I slowed down to pull over to really look at this thing, it disappeared by sucking back into itself and *poof*, it was gone.  All of this took place in a matter of maybe 5-10 seconds.  It was very strange.

It was so strange as a matter of fact, I have been thinking about the whole thing for this long before I decided to say anything to anyone.  I am sure it happened.  I am sure it was not a trick of light, but I am not sure what it was.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking a soul or ball lighting.

It was an overcast day, just like today (not that we all have the same weather!)  I wondered if it was a reflection, but there was no sunshine that day.  When I saw it, I didn't really see it at first.  I was just driving along, thinking my thoughts when it caught my eye.  Then I really didn't think much of it until it started to grow.  As I pulled over to really look at it, it just disappeared.  Yes, I make it a point to look over there all of the time now.  So far, nothing!

I do carry my camera everywhere, so I will take pictures of the area to see if I get anything.  But I am not sure of the exact spot where it happened.  It was near a grove of trees far off the side of the road, but that could describe just about anywhere for about 3 miles along this stretch of road around my work!  I just keep my eyes peeled on that side of the road now.  Everytime I think to myself, "Oh, that's where it happened", then I see another place it could have been.

It was just an odd occurence.

Greetings, friend! What an odd experience! A member of my ghost story forum had something similar happen up north. He took pictures and had some rather spooky results. Of course, down here in Texas we've had some very strange weather lately and who knows what that can do. Nevertheless, I think you should try to find that spot again and take some photographs.

I would be curious what would happen if you stopped at the spot you saw this thing and take a few pictures. Do you remember how you felt when you saw it? Scared? Apprehensive?

That does sound strange.  Could be a light reflection, a ghost, alien, or a trick of the eye.  I'm assuming you drive that way everyday, I'd keep looking in that area and see if it repeats itself.

You go, we'll be sending out your official straight jacket in the mail.

I don't think you are nuts but I have a hard time believing it was anything more than a reflection through your window. If it happened the way you told it.
Can you tell us what kind of road you were on? Like a paved road or old dirt road and are you sure it was approx 25 yds. (75 ft.) from the road?

Oops, it was Georgetown, TX or actually Williamson County, TX between Georgetown and Sun City.
