Your own name in an EVP

I was wondering what everyone thought about this.

 I have been on several investigations in the past couple of months, and have been getting my own name either being called out or whispered on recordings. No one else in my group's name is being said, and this is happening at different locations.

Now what is even more hard for me to understand is that a friend of mine, took his group to a location a few days after I had been there with my group, and he called to tell me that they got an EVP of a voice calling out my name.

Would love to know what you all think about this, and appreciate any advice.

I have an evp taken at my home where they say my name and ask me if i have children. When i first heard it I got chills, but I think the more I think about it the more I like teh idea. When I do an evp session, often times I will introduce myself, not always, but also I got this particular one in my home, where my name is used frequently. If they can hear us asking them questions, why couldnt thet overhear regular conversation, and knowing we like to ask them questions, have ones for us on occasion. Like a check in to see if we are listening to them.

Is it possible that it is the same energy following you around on investigations to protect you? The one that called your name while you weren't there could have been someone who really liked you at that location. Just a thought.

Beyond what every one else has stated. I myself would be concerned. These names being heard on tape of investigators names just may be an attachment to them. Just something to think about.

I have my own name on EVP and I have worked on many for others where their names were called.  It is a spooky experience the first time, expecially, when you are not expecting it.  Mine was "Happy Birthday Gary."  It was my mom.  Nitewing

Paranormalpoison and Ectopus have similar recordings, where their name is called out and captured.  They seem to attract that type of activity.  Perhaps, hearing  your name more often is going to become the norm as well.  Nice to see you back!  Karla

This may sound strange but maybe it is because they knew of you or the group talked about you... or could be a different Amy?
