SLIders & the Streetlight Phenomenon

SLIders & the Streetlight Phenomenon

Do streetlights go out when you pass beneath them? The phenomenon is known as street lamp interference, or SLI, and it possibly is a psychic event that is just beginning to be recognized and studied. Like most phenomena of this type, the evidence is almost exclusively anecdotal. Typically, a person who has this effect on streetlights - also known as a SLIder - finds that the light switches on or off when he or she walks or drives beneath it. Very often, SLIders also report that they tend to have an odd effect on other electronic devices. Have you had this experience?

This used to happen to me a lot more as a kid.  I would actually watch it happening as my Dad was driving and thought it was interesting.

My daughter and I were out walking one evening around our neighborhood (The streets end up being a big circle.) and actually started discussing it.  She said it happens a lot to her.  Around that time I starting noticing that the streetlights were going out as we passed by them and then they would go back on.  This happened three times that night in the same area.  I actually looked around to see if maybe there was some kind of sensor that was visible to cause it.

This has happened to me several times when I was going to work...Several of the lights would always go off and these were not the main street light that the others would light from...

YES!!! I thought I was crazy...well I am but still... This happens to me ALOT!! Not all of the time but still alot..

I am so glad you mentioned this because I thought it was just my imagination... I also kill watches.... The longest one I owed was a wind up that managed to live for a year before I killed it! Battery operated watches just die... I change the battery and some times the watch will work for a littled while other times it is dead..

What is this caused by anyway???

I can't say I have ever seen this phenomenon first hand.  I would be interesting to really dig into the matter and see what would come of it.

I have however noticed that every time I walk past a woman I seem to turn her off...same phenomenon?  LOL....I'm just kidding.  I'm in an interesting mood today.  I apologize for my outburst.
