"Demonologist" is the new buzz-word in the paranormal investigation world. Hence, people are discussing
demons, being in fear of them and looking for them to be the cause of many a haunting or possession. Yet, people do not question where their beliefs in such entities arose. We need to think, "Where did I learn this belief and what was its origin?" Someone taught this belief in demons, so who was it?
The word "demon" was derived from the word, "daimon." A
daimon never was an evil emissary of "the devil." So why do so many believe in what they have "learned" from religion, when religion created this idea?
You can read
Demons & Ghosts and learn some of the history of the word and one of the reasons why I do not believe in demons and devils as traditionally taught.
