Still on the Demon kick...

I just finished an essay examining demons and negative thoughts. I thought it good to explore the idea of "battling one's own demons," you might say!  ;C)

Oh, here is an article on the origin of the word demon: Demons & Ghosts

I am working on another article concerning the eternal hell doctrine which will be completed next week.  People need to understand how these ideas came about, and why they are in error. ;C)   LC

Hi, Ken.  So much to answer for you.  ;c)

My background first:  Former fundamentalist teacher, preacher, minister and elder of a christian church.  Had a personal spiritual experience which led to the church eventually turning charismatic in the 1990's.  1997, I followed what I heard "within" me and left the church.  By 1999, I had written many an article dealing with traditional christian doctrines and their error.  Keep in mind, I studied biblical doctrines for over ten years and taught them.

1) Rebuke - the word translated as "rebuke" is the Greek word epitimao, which means to "admonish."  The definition of admonish is a: to indicate duties or obligations to b: to express warning or disapproval to especially in a gentle, earnest, or solicitous manner c: to give friendly earnest advice or encouragement to.  Therefore, I prefer the word "instruct" as a better translation for the original Greek word when put into context.

2) What the article is about is thoughts within the mind of man that are contrary to truth.  Incorrect thinking is the source of man's problems, thinking that is fear-based, such as false doctrines of hell and emissaries of Satan create.

3) Regarding Angels & Ghosts...  Angels & ghosts exist, but the definitions and doctrines created by traditional, christian religion are in error.  The website seeks to find the truth regarding the same and educate with respect to these errors.

4) Regarding demons, I am no "skeptic," nor do I say they "exist as angels, but are misunderstood."  Demons do not exist as traditionally taught, but there are negative and lost earthbound spirits of humans that can at times do ill-will and even possess.  Even Kabbalah teaches this, including the exorcism of the same.  Wouldn't it make sens then that Jesus, being a Rabbi, would have known and understood these teachings?  Simply look at the origin of the word demon, and it is plain the church created it from "daimon" and sought to wipe out the widespread belief in daimones.  It was easy for them to simply tweak the definition and speak against the beliefs of the day, transforming them into demons who follow "Satan."  This was also used in conjunction with the eternal hell doctrine to gain control over converts.

5) Evil?  Well, there is far more bad things out in the physical world occuring, and all one has to do is find the source of it: man.  Man, having freewill, can certainly do good or bad, but I prefer to look at it as "create" or "mis-create."  Life is a lesson, and by looking at this as simply choices makes it a learning experience, correctable for everyone.  The word "sin" means to err or "miss the mark."  It is a correctable mistake, not something to condemn one over for eternity.  All of us are connected, Ken, and one in spirit...call it ONE spirit.  If you need me to cite scripture, Paul said it this way: "We live, move and have our being in Him."  My point is this: Religion causes one to look outwardly, but never inwardly.  The narrow path that leads to life (truth) is within, and not found outwardly in a church building, book, etc.

I guess I like personal experience.  If I sailed around the globe and found it to be round, then I would know first hand, personally, and not through second, third or fourth person.  Personal experience leaves much less room for error, as it eliminates someone using fear in order to control others for gain.

Religious teachers will
tell us that to rebuke is to “cast out,” meaning,
“Get out of here!” but that is incorrect.  To rebuke means
“to instruct,” therefore when Jesus rebuked spirits, he was having discussion with them, enlightening them
in an attempt to free them from their own personal
hell.

To "scold" is the wikipedia def. By "Cast out" is more a word used.
Again, don't get wrapped up in words as to their original meanings, will mislead.

" So to
face one’s demons means to confront what one has issues over, and put them
to rest."

This notion, in say trying to break a drug habit for example would be called" facing your demons" correct?

This
is a theological thought that the person whom is addicted to the drugs
has at least one demon ("demonization" it is called by some) that
represents this grave sin associated with this addiction.

Surprised you didn't quote Dave Oester.
Curious still,
Why call yourself "AngelsGhosts", if you don't seem to believe in Angels?

If you somehow do believe in angels, why do you think they are all good and there are no Demons? As I said "Demon" is just a name used for the "Fallen Angels", as we don't get wrapped up in definitions, as I said the word "Poltergeist" has been abused as well from it's originally intended meaning.

I am just trying to figure out where you are coming from here mainly.
Are you another skeptic, or merely defending a belief system that Demons are angels and all are somehow misunderstood and are really good spirits, ('heard that argument before), which is more of a thought from the Naive or from some who dabbles in certain forms of occult practices.
Or- do you refuse to believe in true evil even exist?

Religion,
I can argue the same about Gravity, doesn't mean Issac Newton was wrong.
It is here like it or not, can't blame it for your
falling and skinning your knee or a relative dying from a sky diving accident.
We can't turn a blind eye to the facts simply because we don't want to deal with some of the harsh realities of physics.

Yeah some people hated to go to church a kid, my son gets bored there too, so did I. And some people resented their parents for trying to teach them the
'Positive' things in life. Good will towards your fellow man,
Selflessness, instead of selfishness, and so forth... After all guilt isn't a fun
thing to harbor... Having a conscious can be almost painful...

The
fact is (the fallen Angels) will still affect your life on a daily
basis regardless if you believe in them. Just like gravity will pretty
much be there every morning I get out of bed.
In other words, believe in them or not, they always believe in you.

After
all what proof do you personally have that the world is Oval shaped, do
you have to sail around the world yourself to believe?
