I watched the documentary "The Secret" thought it was jibberish and kind of rambled on convering the same idea over and over again...thus I never bothered to purchase the book. This was probally about 2 months after the book had hit the New Yorks bestsellers list. I have had many conversations as I am sure many of you have, about the context of this book and the belief system that backs it up. It was successful because it "fits" into every religious belief in some form or another. Everyone can apply it somehow, but seldom rarely do.
I agree with the content...always have. I have seen the law of attraction work more times than not in my life as well those closest to me. Yes, thought is a powerful thing, so are a few others though that tend to fall by the wayside, particulary if it doesn't fit a person's itinerary!
People don't seem to give enough credit to "free will" and "karma" both of these filter into this whole "secret" to getting the things out of life you desire. We too often find ourselves depending on others to "make the difference" in our lives or to wave "their" magic wand to give us the things we want. You can do this yourself...let me say that again...you can do this yourself!!!
I am just as guilty as the next, thus the birth of one of my books and it's title..."SO WHAT IF LIFE GIVES US ROTTEN LEMONS," we have to, all of us, starting realizing the light inside of us, realize your passions, your dreams and know that you are in control of the destiny of all of these things.
Once in a meditative state and working with Katherine, my guide, I asked her what we, as in those still here on this earthbound plane, need to give like "immediate" attention to in our lives... and she stated, " there is such a need in regaining control of our own lives, too many get into the habit of relinquishing to to others, they get too wrapped up in their own selfish needs and wants and inheritantly forgets the "do unto others as you would want them to do unto you..."she emphasized this! Our conversation proceeded and once I returned back from our gathering I gave this much thought.
Have you?
We get so wrapped up in our day to day lives depending on others to give us our paychecks to live and survive on a monatary level, give us nurturing and love and a sense of belonging so that we are not alone, we really do find ourselves rely on someone for everything...but how much do we really know ourselves and rely on ourselves for the lessons in life that truly matter? I have room for improvement in this...this is my challenge...my on-going challenge for myself.
May I challenge you to do the same?
Rely on you and find the real you! Dig deep, remember karma always and the true power of thought...
Blessings, Rochelle
