On AOL, there is an article about a man who wanted to be standing at his own wake, and he got his wish. To each his own, but the pictures are sure creepy. I would have nightmares for the rest of my life.
I saw a person laid out at home back in the 1970's, in the country. The casket was propped up against the wall, so the deceased was laying at an angle. They had black lights around the casket, so the room was very dark. That was scary to this 10 year old!
If I saw someone at their wake, standing in a corner, even after the funeral and they were buried, I think I would still see them standing there, even though they weren't. I'd sleep with the lights on for the rest of my life!
I read that this morning and felt creeped out by it. I understand having the wake in their home but to have him standing in the corner.....a tad bit freaky.
Wow...I don't even know where to begin. That is just messed up no matter how you look at it. For the love of God at least be standing in a coffin or something instead of looking like a stuffed dead guy standing in a corner.
What in the name of all that is good would you want that as a last wish for? What does that symbolize? Human stupidity never ceases to short circuit my brain.
I'm all for honoring the dead and celebrating their life. Had someone asked that of me as their last wish I would not have done it for them. I'd be like..."dude that is flat out morbid and I won't do it!" I'm not going to have some rigid, bloated, rigor mortis looking dead dude propped up in my living room. If anyone ever invites me to a funeral and I walk in and see that...I'm going to be punching someone very hard. That is just sick and uncalled for. Only in Puerto Rico....
There are still issues with the inboxes. I'll get on it tomorrow and see if I can't figure out what the problem is. I apologize for any unusual things that may occur during this time. Maybe we really are haunted!?
