I've been hanging on to this one for quite awhile, since I haven't had anytime to sit at the computer. My mom is in the hospital for a knee replacement and we had to stay with her because she went a little psychotic on the pain meds. She thought everyone was out to kill her and wouldn't let us leave her side. (oh, how she was so happy to tell terrible stories about my childhood, now I got stuff against her) She's 100% better now and almost ready to come home.
Anyways, what I was gonna write about was the episode of Paranormal State, in which they busted a Vietnam guy doing the "hauntings". My question has to do with the montage of Chip Coffey walking through the house and giving the impressions that he was getting from the home. As he was giving his feelings they would show back to when Ryan B. was doing the interview with the home owner. Here's the question, who was Chip really reading?
Is it possible that Chip was picking up on what Ryan knew and not what the house was holding in it's memory? Chip was only able to go as far as what Ryan knew. The psychic in the house where the mother killed herself, picked up on that one without Ryan knowing about it. (Atleast, I believe that's what she did, like I said, it's been a long week, cut me some slack)We as investigators always talk about how going in cold is better, then you have no preconceived notions. Would it be better, for a psychic, to be walking around a house without anyone that knows the haunted background? Is it possible that some glean their information from us and not from the entity, without knowing it?
