Unnatural

I found this article on AOL news, and it's rather hard to take/believe.

Angel Pantoja Medina's wake, Aug. 18Juan Alicea Marcado, El Nuevo Dia / AP

A young man's wish to remain standing in death has been fulfilled. Through a special embalming treatment, Angel Pantoja Medina, left, remained upright in a corner at his mother's home in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for his three-day wake. Here, family members bid goodbye to the 24-year-old Monday.

"He wanted to be happy, standing," said Medina's brother, Carlos, right, who's kissing his cheek. The owner of the funeral home that did the embalming said Medina's mother asked him to fulfill her dead son's last wish.

Medina was dressed in a brown Yankees baseball cap, T-shirt, sunglasses, and a gold cross hung around his neck. He was found dead Friday underneath a bridge in San Juan and buried Monday. Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

What I find strange about this is the way he is standing.  I agree with GhostBreaker:  put me sitting in a chair, or prop me up against a jukebox (as the song goes) with a nice pair of shades.  As it is, the young man looks like he is in an unnatural stance -- leaning against a wall, head tilted back, arms in front instead of hanging at his sides.

I don't find this strange.  I want people to party after I'm gone.  I also want to be cremated and my ashes spread out in the ocean for fish food.  My husband thinks that's weird, but I think it's better than polluting up the ground.  To each his own, I guess.

Not as weird as you might think. It's for the living not the dead. I looked into this type thing long ago. I guess it depends on how you want people to remember you that last time they see you. I woud rather be sitting in a chair for people to say their goodbye's than lying on my back looking dead. I think i'll be wearing sunglasses however.

I heard about this. Totally weird. What I wonder is this, if he was found dead under a bridge, how was it his last wish to be standing this way?

If you don't wanna go, you just don't wanna go!  ^v^

There are still issues with the inboxes. I'll get on it tomorrow and see if I can't figure out what the problem is. I apologize for any unusual things that may occur during this time. Maybe we really are haunted!?
