We Are ok

Well , it has been a rough last week for us. Hurricane Gustav came to town and wiped out our power and took alot of homes as well as other things. We got a bit of  damage to our home, but nothing more than power loss, broken fences, a tree in our pool and some missing shingles.We were fortunate to say the least. Now, most of us are tired, hot & still with out power at our home, but we are grateful to be ok.  I'm with the inlaws and they have a generator so life has been a little easier. We are supposed to get power back this Tuesday where we live in Denham Springs, but some places/parishes will not be restored for another 20 days.  Monday I'll be getting back to work.. yayyy. It has been a week of unplanned vacation . Now, I see where now Hurricane IKE may be  a factor for us as well as our Florida  neighbors again. I sure hope not.

I am glad you guys are ok Jackie.  We got a lot of rain off Gustav and some minor flooding and a few tornados around us but none touched down in my town.  Hopefully Ike won't come our way.  Keep us posted on how you are.

Im so glad your doing ok..I worry about those in the path of those storms, and keep you all close in my prayers. God speed to you and yours Doll..Hope IKE chills out to a slight breeze and just a few rain drops..looks like Cuba is gonna take the wind out of his sails before he hits the Gulf, which is a good thing. Well, not really but you know what I mean. Take it easy and get back to us when you can ok?
