This is a good example as to why I, personally, find the word "haunting" not useful. This illustrates how subjective the word is. It means something different to everybody. It is a word often used to stir emotion and create sensationalism, but when it comes down to analyzing and concluding a series of unexplainable events - the term "haunting" is useless.
Paranormal can be applied to anything that can't be explained by science. Not in the realm of the "norm". Science being the standard by which we base everything real on.
A haunting is considered a specific occurrence but is categorized as paranormal activity since the norm is based on the living. So if you don't want to break it down that far, you can consider them both the same. A haunting isn't the norm so it's Paranormal. However, paranormal encompasses many fields of study.
To me a haunting means more than one paranormal episode of activity but many different paranormal episodes at one time. Such as doing an investigation, if I only get EVP but nothing else I'm not going to lean towards a haunting but some activity. If I get knocks bumps like responses, good EVPs and perhaps sightings I'm going to lean towards a haunting. Just my opinion.
There are still issues with the inboxes. I'll get on it tomorrow and see if I can't figure out what the problem is. I apologize for any unusual things that may occur during this time. Maybe we really are haunted!?
