The Good Samaritan is not whom you think

The Good Samaritan.

Before my son was Born, my wife was late in pregnancy, We still knew few people in the area, and ask a few of the ones we did know if they could help me move.

Yes I would have been otherwise alone.

One man, a contractor, construction worker self-employed, another, a computer tech, whom also teaches some night course on related topics.
The last week came down, and I was getting worried.  Could afford to hire a mover, or do I trust them in moving fraigile things.  The Contractor made excuses as even I tried to move the "Moving day to a 'weekend' day.
He couldn't even lend me an hour.
The other agreed without much, and when I ask him what he wanted in return, he said

"a couple slices of pizza".

This man some Christians might totally avoid, see he sportsA bumper sticker that reads 'Pagan and proud", the other man, was a professed "Christian", whom even wrote some "inspired" book on the faith.

Just goes to show the Label Christian doesn't see into a mans heart, it can just be a label nothing more. Don't be too quick to judge others if they are not Christian
for example. -or- assume they are going to be "good" Christians (i.e. follow in teh footsteps of Jesus)

The true good Samaritan is often NOT whom one might judge them to be.

Go to the local soup kitchen or anywhere people are giving of themselves to others and I think you'll be suprised by how many don't consider themselves Christian.  Christians I think are a minority now in the volunteer department.  How many people in your chruch do volunteer work as opposed to those who don't?  Ask around...you might be suprised.

Great blog Ken.  I have friends from all walks of life and all different religions.  I was taught to respect ALL religions by my mother.  Just because we don't believe in the same things does not make them bad people.

There are still issues with the inboxes. I'll get on it tomorrow and see if I can't figure out what the problem is. I apologize for any unusual things that may occur during this time. Maybe we really are haunted!?
