World ...Houston has a Problem

Hello World ... HOUSTON HAS A PROBLEM!!!

Hello Everyone and Thank You for the Prayers and Blessings you've sent my way. As some of you know, I live In Houston and we were hit VERY HARD by Hurricaine Ike. From what I've heard from a few that called to check up on me, is that the news is down playing the severity of the damage caused by the storm. Many people were unable to evaculate and lost their lives. Many are believed to have been washed out into the Gulf of Mexico. Thousands of lives are unaccounted for! Galveston is flattened!!! 45 oil platforms were lost in the gulf. ( Look forward to paying $5.00 a gallon THIS WEEK!!!) Galveston and Houston had the 2nd Largest Port in the United States, and it has literally been shut down. Now think , you northwestern states... where do you think alot of your everyday items are shipped from, where does 80% of the oil and gas come from and who is the energy capital of the United States ????? .... HOUSTON .... !!!!  And all the outside communittes are 90% oil workers, if not in energy!!! Yes, it's true!!! HOUSTON HAS A PROBLEM,and when we do,  unfortunately .... SO DO YOU!!!

I did not mean that it is not bad in Houston, I was just saying that Galveston was hit the worst. My husbands son is not to far from Galveston, and they are all doing great. Yes, it's a real mess in Galveston, but I don't think Houston got hit as bad as Galveston. And for some reason, our gas prices have gone down here. Not sure how long that will be, but at least they went down some. Good luck and I hope they will get your town fixed up very soon. It's a great loss when people have to go through this stuff. It will take years to rebuild these towns that were hit so hard. My prayers are with you. Vicky

My husband son lives in Beaumont, Texas and they were also hit hard. They were told 4 to 5 weeks before they would have elec. back. They got it back within a week. It's a mess, but all doing fine. Yes, Galveston was flattened, but they will also come back. Our gas prices have gone back down around here. Not sure what you're talking about.

You think you are exaggerating just a little bit???  I too am a Texan, and it is no where as bad as you say it is.

There are still issues with the inboxes. I'll get on it tomorrow and see if I can't figure out what the problem is. I apologize for any unusual things that may occur during this time. Maybe we really are haunted!?
