URGENT, Did you become ill after MidSouth?

Be Kind all, this had nothing to do with the conference, or their planners. This was due to the construction at the hotel that LGHS was NOT informed of... Please post this far and wide, as there are many who became ill after the conference, and they NEED to know this...

I did not become ill (hard to believe huh..) but many MANY did... Please make sure this warning gets to them all!!!
I will still be getting checked, JUST IN CASE.

~~~~~~Message from Jacqui Carpenter~~~~~~~~
I wanted to give you all a heads up........over thirty people that I know of came home from the convention very ill. I was one of them and am now on a major regimen of antibotics. Seems there is a bacteria that lays dormant in carpet and when pulled if anyone breathes the particulants it attaches to mucus and goes nuts breeding. I have contacted the hotel to give them a heads up and also plan on contacting the Public Health department in that area. If you came home sick from there please follow up with phone calls to both the hotel and the PHD. The phone number for the hotel is 502-367-2251 and ask to talk to the manager do not deal with the front desk people.
If you have not seen a doctor you might want to consider it, it attacks the respiratory system, the throat, the ears and nasal passages.
Also please drop me a line to let me know how you are doing, I know a couple of close friends are very sick with this.
Its kinda like getting sick on those cruises..Man that sucks!! You know..you DONT pay money to go to these things to catch something. Well I hope it doesnt affect anyone seriously, and it passes quickly.
Also, a "Thanks for the note", I passed it on to the others.
Glad I didn't go for more reasons now.
Holy Crap!!!  I hope everyone gets better, but this is also a good heads up for anyone traveling to a location where there is possible redecorating/construction going on. Freaky.
In this case, the hotel was undergoing construction. The bacteria captured in the carpet fibers was released into the air and circulation vents when it was ripped up. This spread the bacteria through the entire hotel. At last count we've heard from over 50 people from just this conference.
Four members from PTF (Geg Myers and the Team), were sick yes, but better now. I hear there is vomiting and etc.
Last year, same convention  we all got Colds aftewards.
In Arkansas March 2006 I got sick after the convention, as we lingered at Pythian Castle (for film shoot) all day the following day after the convention, by the time eveing rolled around I was very sick I haven't been that sick in years. But that was more me. Just got lucky I guess.
Whats the deal with these conventions and people getting sick?
