Now that theres all this new fancy gear to seek the answers of the paranormal, what are the ones that are truly needed and what are status symbols?I mean you can go out and dump alot on the natural tri field meters or a thermal imager but are they really needed? Personally I dont think that they're a must I will compare it to what I know in my other line of work carpentry. Now I wouldnt go out and try and hand nail everything since I own nail guns but hey they're for easiness of things. Also power saws they arent musts they make things easier though. I wouldnt want to use a hand saw all day long and probably wouldnt get much work done.This blogis to get some answers what are the must have items for an investigation. I know a 1 dollar compass can work as well as a 100 dollar emf.also K2 meters are they really as good as they re cracked upto being?yah having cameras and voice recorders are good but they arent necessity are they. I know this is a boring blog but I wanted to kep this one simple. Post your thoughts about what you think are musts.Also be nice and dont call someone stupid because they think a security system and FLIR are musts, different people like different things.I mean some cant go out without there blackberrys,so keep this in mind.you cant take back the words.
You your senses and a notepad and pen, food is always good too, small first aid kit may come in handy, flashlight compass and thermometer. Most groups or investigators have a lot of good equipment. Has any proof come up that can be validated with out a doubt by all? No it hasnt thats a reality. Some consider thermal imaging proof, Some consider psychic interpretation proof, some consider EVPs as proof, some consider Camera and video recordings proof. Some consider an EMF reading proof. Some consider a tempeture inversion proof. All these things are not proof at all that is a reality. All these things are good in their own way for collecting data, but not proof. Is Science proof, No its not. It is because of standardized methods of science that no proof has been found and never will be. Dont get me wrong knowledge of science is needed for proof. But the standardized scientific method will never allow it to happen.

Start slow, and when you think you need the other equpiment than get what you think you need. But do some research and then go from there. Good luck!.
