Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Ghost and Mr. Chicken, Pirates of the Caribbean (I love movies), some horror movies, the ghostly thiller type, not brain bashers/slashers. Godzilla. Jackie Chan movies. Indiana Jones, The Mummy, Ghostbusters, Van Helsing, Dracula (all of them) Underworld, Blood and Chocolate,The Others....the list goes on....

TV shows are Supernatural, Sanctuary, Boston Legal, Two and a Half Men, documentaries on Haunted places. I like the ghost hunting shows too, even if some of them are just for ratings, they can still be fun.

The Xanthe novels. Laurell K Hamilton's books. Fantasy and urban or paranormal fantasy. Paranormal books of all types.
I love used bookstores and "haunt" them as often as I can. I've found Talking to the Dead, a bio on the Fox Sisters and Lily Dale, about the community of Spiritulists at these stores.

I love to draw and paint. My media for painting now is watercolor and acrylic but I've also done oil paintings. I do fantasy art. I like RPS's on the Playstation and my boyfriend and I game every week (gasp) yes I am a geek and do D&D. Reading is high on my list of favorite hobbies. Walks in our local nature centers. I'm also learning contact juggling. We attend Pirate Festivals and Ren Faires.

I am a new member of Southwest Ghost Finders.

Since childhood I have lived with the paranormal, seeing lights, shadow people, and being in contact with the unseen. Voices have guided me at times and often I've just "known" of upcoming events, some that saved us from injury as kids. I've wondered if perhaps this was brought on by a dangerously high fever I had as a very young child. I can't pinpoint the age where I became aware of these occurances but it also appears I have shadowy companions with me that others have witnessed. My boyfriend once saw a black cat in the kitchen of my apartment and I did not own any pets at the time. This didn't seem the least bit strange to me as I've seen the shapes as long as I can recall.

I'm recently laid off and working to start my own little buisness sewing outfits for belly dancers and Renaissance Faires. I do ATS,( American Tribal Style) belly dance, and Tribal Fusion.
Also during my "down time" from a normal job I plan to dive into a urban fantasy I've been wanting to write-with a ghost hunting theme (go figure).

I use dowsing rods and pendulums (but not limited to) as tools in communicating with spirits. My dad taught me how to use the rods as a child, using the typical y-shaped branch. Our farm was old, slaves had been part of it in the past as well as Indians. These may have been the people I saw on the property as a child.
