The 'white mist' is a reflection of the curtains.  I was not holding them back in any way.

That fat, orange 'pumpkin' thing is located behind the window reflection, so it had to be outside in the shot.  I don't remember seeing anything like that at all when I took the picture.  What I was trying to capture was the ice storm we had that day, as it made everything look very pretty. 

My fingers don't look like that pumpkin thing, so the more I think about it, the more stumped I become.

This is an interesting photo. Was it taken out of a window? The white mist is so heavy it almost appears as a reflection of maybe drapes and finger tips holding drapes back. Not sure what red you are referring to other than red mist to right edge of frame.

There are no cabinets in my living room, but the more I think about it, it could have been my fingers, although I saw nothing like that in the viewfinder.  Weird.  Thanks for all of your comments!

IMHO it looks like the fingers/knuckles of the person holding back the curtain.

It looks like the little knobs that are on the front of cabinets or small, old windows.  They are usually side by side, on the inside of each window/door.  So, it looks like you can see one well and only part of the other one because it's behind the first one.  Since that is a curtain, that looks like a window view behind it with knobs to open the door/shutters/window.  Just my opinion.
