This is based on a reply I left on someone's blog. The person was - understandably - seeking advice around some strange and potentially alarming physical symptoms he'd been experiencing. He also gave an account of paranormal activity in his home. My advice to him was practical, though not exactly sexy or otherworldly. Maybe it was unwanted (Sorry!). But just in case I haven't annoyed some of you enough with my view on this topic:

Regardless of paranormal or psychic activity involved (or suspected), please see a doctor and get evaluated if you are having sudden unexplained physical and/or mental symptoms. If you suddenly start getting migraine headaches, for ex., and begin feeling unexplained sensations of terror, it could be that as a 'Sensitive' you are picking up a message from an entity. However it could also be that these physical symptoms are - well - physical. It's also possible that the problem (or odd event) could be partially psi-related and partially physical. At least the physical aspect might be remedied with established medicine; could in fact, save a life.

Yeahyeah there'll be many folks here who think in the opposite direction: first examine and treat the paranormal 'symptoms', then move on to the health evaluation (if at all). From my own haunting, the allure of this tactic became obvious:

The act of looking for psi causes before mundane ones, upholds the romantic mystique surrounding a strong orientation to the psi world. It distracts a person from the pesky, logical world of physical puzzles and problems. These physical concerns can feel even more overwhelming and threatening than psi or alleged psi problems at times. The other painful consequence of engaging the mind in mundane logical postulating is another sort of pain: boredom.

Immediately placing the blame for untoward physical events on psychic events or personal psychic gifts or demons or a lost soul pining for one's attention is, well, enchanting. Yes, it IS pure romance and drama if the first assumption is always the paranormal one. 

I think psi and organic illness both exist and therefore both must be ruled in or out. Cover all bases. Always keep at least one-and-a-half of your eyeballs peeled for potentially mundane causality.

It's about a Jewish attorney defending a neo-Nazi who brutually beat and killed an East Indian man. I'm still reflecting on it. Have you seen this film? If so, what are your thoughts? Thanks!

One doctor suspects his patient's lung cancer may have been caused by a chemical in the artificial butter flavor of microwave popcorn (diacetylin).  There is a statistically high incidence of lung cancer within the factories themselves, where workers are frequently exposed to fumes. It's called popcorn lung. What do you think?

I've been calling myself agnostic, (meaning one believes God is unknowable, and/or questions whether a God exists). Thing is, I notice that isn't quite true; not all the time. In fact there are many times when it seems to me there is a general Higher Power of some sort and I sense this HP's very nature (somehow). At other times I've been doubtful and that's when have an agnostic stance. I call this force any number of things. I use the word God or Universe because it's easier for a lot of people to recognize who/what I'm referring to.

Experiment

Wonder if any of you - regardless of your beliefs - might be interested in trying a little experiment today with me. It appears to have worked for me now for the last several days ...

Speak to your Higher Power as you know Him/Her/It/Them, and ask to get a strong, obvious sign of His/Her ... presence around you today.

 ... Guess you could say this is "putting God to the test", but I'm coming at it with the idea that it's just me initiating an interaction between my HP and I, in whatever form my HP chooses. So it's not about asking for anything real specific. Well, except that yesterday I asked my HP to communicate using humor and it seemed that prayer was answered quite obviously LOL.

Anyone up to trying this out and reporting back on results, or lack thereof LOL??
