Recently, I had the good fortune to tour the haunted lighthouse in Fairport Harbor, Ohio and had a great time! Working with members of the ghost hunting group SIGHT, we were able to run several ghost box sessions and gathered some nice audio evidence.
One of these recordings is particularly interesting, as a direct reply concerning a specific lighthouse keeper comes through distinctly - the name of the gentleman that is. The ghost box we used was my hand-built prototype you can see on my IAmHaunted page. Ghost boxes that are made from sweeping radios work well, and Frank (builder of Frank's Ghost Box) is now preferring linear sweep (like the hacked radios) over the random sweep method (how most all of his boxes were constructed).

We updated our angels information page to really take a look at the origins of today's beliefs concerning angels and spirits.
You may check out the Angel Information page to get a better understanding of this complicated story! Spirits that are benevolant permeate primitive tribal cultures, as well as ancient Greek, Roman and Assyrian beliefs that are quite similar to modern-day angel ideas. It looks like today's religious beliefs concerning guardian angels, borrowed a little from various cultural ideas...quite interesting. ;)

We have updated our Angels sections, beginning with Angel Terms. We also added Types of Angels, which seeks to help list all the various types of angels from religion and lore, and sort of connect them if possible. However, we found it impossible to reconcile all the beliefs concerning type, rank, class and Angel Hierarchy. We tried, but there are millennia of differing beliefs and opinions gleaned from small bits of scriptures and ancient writings to come up with some of the rich mysteries that we have today. Did they go overboard in making assumptions about angels? Is this why not too many sources agree? Hhmmm...

Spring is here for many of us (well almost). Last month marked the last time we will publish monthly submissions of pictures of photos and stories, as we have gathered quite a collection over the past 3-1/2 years from all over the world. We have begun organizing and focusing on the topics/subjects that need answered with respect to ghosts and spirits. This will lead to many new articles, images and other evidence of ghosts and spirits that will be published monthly.
As mentioned in January's newsletter, eventually the main pages of AngelsGhosts.com will move to having an updated navigation with different layout. The Angels & Ghosts archives of submissions are thick, so we need to categorize all of it to make it easier to sift through when looking for certain specific types of evidence. Our first update was to our Ghost Stories section. Now we have categorized the ghost stories, making them easier to sift through. As time progresses, all of the ghost stories will eventually be categorized to help illustrate different types of experiences that occur during a haunting or spirit visitation. This way, we will be able to hopefully sum up conclusions as to what is happening on the "other side."
The Angels & Ghosts Forum, is now private, but you can still register to become a member. For 2008, the forum will be closely monitored so that people who truly want to seek answers can participate. Those who join only to cause problems will have their membership terminated promptly. The forum is truly a very unique place for those who are spiritually hungry or looking for assistance with ghost problems. Be sure to say, "Hello" to our moderators Kathy and Darryl...
The last couple months, we have been working with a ghost and spirit communicator based upon the infamous "Frank's Box." The idea of the ghost and spirit box is to generate audio fragments and white noise, so ghosts and spirits can either manipulate this to form words, or use it as a carrier for messages. Some of the results have been remarkable, as a recent test recorded over 20 intelligent messages received at a location experiencing a very strong haunting. Over the next few months, we hope to make some of the audio recordings available to be listened to, as well as better explain the device and its use.

Ghost Videos
We have new ghost videos posted this month. Watch them all at our Europe Ghost Videos page. The videos are from different ghost investigations in England and Ireland. European ghost investigators typically use more psychics and mediums during investigations. Also, we have include the Lisheen Castle ghost investigation "reveal" video from TAPS Ghost Hunters. Their evidence is amazing!

Frank's Box and other ghost boxes have created a lot of discussion and debate over the last year. Last week, I posted a photo of our new spirit box which works a bit different than the others out there and information regarding it. What it does is produce audio bits and white noise which apparently ghosts/spirits can manipulate into forming words and phrases, but we have also heard messages come through these devices that sound like they are riding on top of the audio...using the audio bits as a carrier, perhaps.
The following recordings are only a few out of over 20 messages recorded in two sessions (total of 15 minutes) at an apartment with spectacular ghostly activity. We believe there are two ghosts there, one which crossed to the light with our help. You will have to listen to these closely, as I mentioned, they contain manipulated audio bits, white noise and music that form words (they sound a bit different to the untrained ear):
"Please, son of a b----, leave" (Then I ask a question and receive the reply, "He's back").
"They may be able to help me"
"Stop that music" The device was locking onto a radio station, acting strange like it was being messed with from the other side. So, you'll hear rock music, my comment, then music manipulated into a message about it!

As many of you know, we have announced a change on Angels & Ghosts for this Spring. In an attempt to move away from monthly submissions, we have elected to work on categorizing the site and adding to areas of need within it.
Therefore, we updated and organized our Ghost Stories page, which should provide a good base for us to add additional stories by category in the future. Now the ghost stories are broken out not only by past monthly submissions, but also:
Famous Ghost Stories, Classic Ghost Stories, Short Ghost Stories, Poltergeist Ghost Stories, Ouija Board Ghost Stories, Animal Ghost Stories, Visitor Ghost Stories, Scary Ghost Stories & Haunting Ghost Stories.
There is definitely room to grow, so we will be adding to certain categories of ghosts stories in the near future.

Latest News: We are currently testing a new prototype ghost box which we have dubbed the "Spirit Box." It works a bit different, scanning the FM band, with range and speed adjustments. We will keep you posted as to our results, but we have recorded some very good audio messages.
The hope is to be able to receive clearer messages, as the audio is cleaned up a bit via this method. ;)
