  The Supreme Court has handed down a decision on the Second Amendment today.  People have the right to own a handgun.

Regardless of how you feel on this issue, there are several things you should consider.

1.  When people ae allowed to carry guns, the violent crime rate drops in that area.  This is statistical fact.

2.  The Japanese did not invade the West Coast after Pearl Harbor because they knew the citizenry was armed with personal weapons.

3.  Hitler, in the name of peace, was the first to disarm an entire nation.

I know there are many who disagree with this decision.  As a person who has a degree in Political Science and a Dr. of Jurisprudence, I can tell you I have watched our rights erode under the excuse of protection and terror.   25 years ago, my best friend and I discussed how we were part of this continuing loss of freedom by the tactics we used to fight drugs in our narcotics unit.  We knew it but we didn't care.  It has come back to bite us.

I have both prosecuted and defended murder cases involving guns.  I know both sides.

Don't worry about some thug pulling a gun on you.  An armed citizen will probably shoot him before he shoots you.

(This oughtta start a lot of commotion.)
