The American tradition of "trick-or-treating" probably dates back to the early All Souls' Day parades in England. During the festivities, poor citizens would beg for food and families would give them pastries called "soul cakes" in return for their promise to pray for the family's dead relatives.
Just stopping by to say hi. My weekend has been busy so far. Now Phil is going to drag me out to Karaoke here soon. The last few weeks have been really busy with my book being published. I never knew how much work had to go into this. I finely got a copy of my book and I just love it. Hope your weekend is going great so far. Have a great rest of the weekend. Hugs, Vicky
