Not all, but definitely some. I was apprenticing and had a night job at a psych hospital. I could see / hear some the being that certain patients talked to. They were psychic not psycotic. It's like imaginary playmates. There are no imaginary playmates, just adults that cant' see them.
Demons are parasitic, opportunistic energy organisms much like bacteria or viruses. They feed on a particular frequency of human negativity or chaos and therefor will take every opportunity to make more. When someone's energetic immune system crashes and they go into their own inner darkness demons with the same frequency and story will arrive to feed. So the person has thier inner story of how they are bad and that is repeated by the demon. It's both inside and outside. If the demon 'gets in' it gets even crazier because now the demon will take control whenever the person loses control.
Ever hear it said 'when he drinks he's another person?' Or, 'he's always fighting with his demons.' We've lots touch with the reality and now consider it a psychological metaphor.
I have cleared some people who were suddenly depressed or anxious of multiple possesions and the next day they are better. Of course, if they don't change their thoughts, beliefs, and words they will recreate their own contition and attract new ghosts and demons to attach to them.
