Paraphased off my bio on my site at
Ghost-Fu.com:
Well, I'm a computer techie. Nuff Said? No? Fine...
Anyway, I thought about investigating ghosts back in high school, but talked myself out of it then: "who would believe a junior in high school just wanted to camp out in a retail store or bank or auditorium for the night with a huge video camera to just 'catch a ghost.'"
So I kind of dropped it. Always intrigued, but not enough to pursue.
In the past few years my level of interest in ghosts went from intrigued to a near obsession and slowly has built into something that I cannot ignore.
So got together with some friends started talking about it and formed the group Ghost-Fu.
So why Ghost-Fu? The term
Kung fu, or
gongfu simply means having expertise in a skill. It has since been mostly applied to martial arts, but you could have kung fu in cooking or coding or anything. So...
Ghost-Fu means expertise in ghosts. Okay, yes we made that up, but it sounds good, yeah?
This does not mean we're saying we're experts, but we are on the path. As my T'ai Chi Teacher said,
"Never a master, always mastering."
