"Catholic Demonologist" These two words describe how I work, my
personal faith, and my area of interest and “expertise” if you will. My study, research and experience over the
last 29 years was toward ‘Demonology” and “Ghosts”,
with Church Doctrine (The catechism), and theology being obviously a part of it.
So as my approach is more of a Christian-Judeo, as a “Catholic” I lean to
“Catholic” solutions, and when they have a real problem haunting they are open
to that. The track record as reveal in public media speaks for it self. So I
suppose the hype is already built in for acceptance.
Please note that I am not a official church appointed “Catholic
Demonologist”, only a Bishop appointed Clergy is fully recognized by the Roman
Catholic church itself, as an 'official' Church Demonologist. I (Beware of
Catholic 'Laity' who claim to be otherwise!)
I have attained the respect from my Peers, and work with Catholic Clergy, and of
other denominations, however I am not a "Catholic insider", I often have to go
about the same RED TAPE as many others do, unless I somehow know Clergy local to
your area. As I build a personal network of such such clergy, we hope this will
better expedite help through the church where exorcisms are warranted.
As I have had my own personal paranormal experiences I have had since I was
about seven years old. Back then, my parents and others would tell
you that you are simply 'dreaming', or experiencing 'night terrors'
(psychological), or sleep paralysis (Medical).
But I suspected at an early age, that what I was experiencing was
none-of-the-above, and it was indeed "supernatural". (Looking back i realize I
had a Saint benedict medal around my neck since I was very young. So I imagine
things could have been far worse to not have extra protection and prayers
provided by my parents. Without telling me these things were real and feeding
these beings more with a Childs fear that would escalate much higher, if they
were told they were in fact real encounters. |
And not "just a bad dream."
As a teen, a more serious study began on noted subjects after one night a
friend had witnessed "A Dark figure hunched over my bed" which is one of the
'shadowy being(s)' I have been seeing for years. This was when I was only
seventeen. Let me just say that having another person validate you are not
'imagining it' was a huge turning point, and most certainly it had more so
prompted a serious research and study of the paranormal. Most certainly a
Self study alone of my personal 'experiences' made it easier to discover the
some of the truths about the paranormal. As being able to "Test"
would be spirits, what DOES affect them, and what does not.
However, back when I began studies in the late 1970's, there was little to
no mention of Black Shadowy figures, creeping black forms, or
fiery disembodied faces. Just stories in which describe the old gray and blue
classic traditional ghost.
This was all of course before the retail print of classic cases told such as
with 'The Amityville horror', and the book "The Demonologist,
which introduced some elements as these 'Black figures' into the mainstream.
However, some uncommon books from our personal library, such as on the life of
(Saint) Padre Pio and Cure D'Ars, Made mention of such phenomenon long before.
Since I was a child, my family had attained many books that grew into a large
library that came to serve on the subjects of Theology, and topics of 'Spiritual
warfare', and so forth. This included Biographies of Saints, as well as other
text material that did relate to the study and knowledge of ‘demonology’.
All of these sources provided answers over the years, and to our benefit, many
of these books were discarded after the closing of Saint Louis Area Convents &
Seminaries. Including books from the library of Saint Louis University, which
also ended up in my family’s possession all starting back in the early 70's.
So I essentially acquired my knowledge from Church documents, clergy,
literature, publications & books not sold in retail stores. Basically attaining
an uncommon knowledge, that is for "Catholic laymen".
In addition to reading many books such as those, and from these studies of
ghosts, Demons, and the supernatural in general. I also gained from
talking with “mentors”, which were many. Spiritual advisors in priest, some were
in my family as we have many Catholic clergymen in my family,
although now that I am older Sadly, most are now either retired or have passed
away.
My Mother and Father were married by Mom’s Cousin in Saint Louis, a Catholic
“Bishop”, my Son was baptized by cousin "Father Bill".
My Parents themselves are also considered my mentors, my Father is quite the
theologian of the catholic faith and it’s history.
And both are very devout “traditional” catholic. “Deliverance” and “demonology”
is nothing new to my family.
I have also been involved with several "Prayer groups" and 'deliverance" team since the early 80's.
Personally involve in help through the years, including providing advice on the World Wide Web since 1996.
(An Old site "Ghost-web" is still in part online)
The Paranormal is often related to 'spiritual warfare', and I consider it to be
more so a spiritual matter of religion, this is my view first and
foremost. However, we seek through a team effort to get the whole picture
investigating with a Parapsychology approach (first), and the analysis of the
physical and mental health of the ‘witnesses’ in order to ‘cover all bases’
before concluding there is a an actual haunting involved. Beyond simply a
demonologist by study, I also have many of my own paranormal experiences that
begin at my childhood.
I lean towards a more traditional and reverent Catholic church, a pre-Vatican II
era, which is the mind set I grew up with in my family
whom are very devout in their faith. I do not work under 'official church
authority, for I am not clergy. But I will go to the church
when the need is justified. I am also not an 'Exorcist', nor would I perform the
Roman Ritual, that is for a Ordained Catholic priest to do, this is
another area where church assistance is requited, as I follow the guidelines
laid out by the church.
My goal is always to CLOSE the case, not simply investigate, gather evidence,
wave some 'Sage', and leave... There
ARE NO GUARANTEES in this.
It more relies on the people themselves.
More often God truly can better help those whom help themselves.
Those who will seek my help will find that I do not stray from what is
considered traditional Catholic church doctrine.
Where many others may. Mixed faiths in Haunting help is a dangerous game, i don't recommend it for anyone who endeavor in
"Deliverance".
However I do know when to think outside the box, as no one personal has all of
the answers.
And research is an ongoing task, as is the nature of ‘
spiritual warfare’
