Weird Al rules. Saw him last month in Louisville. Woo-hoo!

I like action/adventure and sci-fi. With my kids, though, they usually involve the adventures of animated rodents.

Wow, it's been so long since I updated this, and so many good books have come and gone. I usually read audio books via Audible.com. In recent weeks I've finished "Seeker" by Jack McDevitt, about the search for a lost space colony, "Dies the Fire" by S.M Sirling, which looks at what might happen if suddenly modern technology stopped functioning, "Neanderthal" and "Humans" by Robert J. Sawyer, examining an alternate dimension in which Neanderthals, not humans, prevailed -- and what happens when the two dimensions meet. Let's see ... also "Fearless Fourteen" by Janet Evanovich (yes, I read some chick lit, too) and I've listend to about a billion hours of various podcasts. Now I'm getting ready to read "This is Your Brain on Music" by Daniel J. Levitin. No wonder I don't get any work done!

Well, I don't have as much time as I'd like for such things. A little TV. I listen to audiobooks and podcasts when I'm driving or having lunch. I'm trying to do some writing, sci-fi and fantasy, but I'm nowhere near a sale. If any publishers read this, please give me a call. :-)

Hanging from the ceiling above my desk is a large green inflatable alien, hugged around the neck by his smaller green inflatable alien. Other assorted extra-terrestrials are scattered about my work area. Guess that says a bit about my weirdnesses, but I also enjoy books, movies and discussion about ghosts and other aspects of the paranormal.
I haven't had any personal experiences with either aliens or spooky things, other than the leisure suits I wore as a teen. But I do find the subject intriguing and love to hear about the experiences of others. Like Fox Mulder, I want to believe. But I'm a little afraid of believing also, so I tread carefully in areas of the spirits and the occult.

Science fiction, great books, friendly people, my wonderful wife and things that go bump in the night.

Intolerance, closed minds and people who are just plain mean. Oh, and flavored coffees, also.

Hello, glorious Miss T. I was wondering if you were still hanging around the IAH neighborhood. It's great to hear from you again.

Are you coming to Louisville for the MidSouth? Hope to see you here if you come.

Ghosts tours are ok, but all you are getting out of it is the history and some embellished story telling.  I prefer staying over night and getting the feel of the places.   That is so difficult to do; to get permission.   That is usually the only way to get any sort of response and evidence.  The best thing is not to bring more than four or five people

Hi, Ali. Thanks for your notes on the photos.nfortunately, we weren't able to get into the house -- just a walk-by tour there. I'd love to go inside and look around. "Mr. Ghost Walker" told some great stories about the supposed goings-on in the house, which is kept as sort of a museum these days.

Thanks for commenting on my daughters, too. They are my sweethearts.

Have a super day, my friend.

mickey hwdy  Hi, ya, Bill.  Hope all is well there with you and yours.  I've just been incredibly busy lately.  I'm in Virginia doing some family tree research.  Exciting, yet exhausting.  Have a great week.  Karla
