Well Mr Luke, I COMPLETELY understand about your son... mine has PDD which is another level of Autism. Thank goodness he is pretty kewl with kids coming over because my daughter is famous for having invited a houseful over. We run a gokart racetrack and he is pretty good with the groups out there also, but most of the times when he has his *meltdowns* is when its something indoors, like the donkey basketball at the local school etc.. where there is alot of loud reverberation. We have even taken him several times to the Nascar races which he loves! BUT we always have ear plugs for him and with it being outdoors, even though it's loud there isn't the reverb as bad and he handles it rather well. He just turned 16 so he has made alot of leaps and bounds over the years as far as what he can and cannot tolerate. I wish you all luck with the summer and controlling the onslaught of kiddos.. lol Around here it's pretty much full steam ahead.. lol HAVE A GREAT ONE! Mona
Completely unfair for your kid to not want friends over right now! Both of mine have wanted to invite kids over since about 3 minutes after school was out. lol Guess Mom bores them.. hahaha Oh well at least its good to know I do my "job" well.. hehehehe have a great one! Mona
Three hours to catch a frog... I'll bet that was an adventure! One day I remember coming home from work and finding dirt in the bathtub and wondering what was up with that. I called my son who informed me that's where they put the big black snake they caught. I drew my feet up on the couch. He relieved me by telling me they took it back out in the woods when I told him the tub was empty... Whew! I sympathize!
