The Haunting, House on Haunted Hill, An American Haunting, Haunted, Haunting of Hell House, Bell Witch Haunting...pretty much any movie with the word "haunted" in it. OK, I admit there are some glaring exceptions. Hillbillys in a Haunted House wasn't worth the price of popcorn!!

I favor non-fiction, but ever so often you just have to read something light. I'm currently reading "Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife" by Mary Roach. It's well-written, informative, and most importantly...humorous.

Researching the paranormal. Civil War history. Sports, sports, sports. People...yes, even the living make a great study! Surfin' the net! I occasionally get on an exercise kick (not lately). Oh, and late nights at the Waffle House!!

Me? I'm just a guy on a journey. Wow! What a ride it's been so far. Every day is a good day full of adventure and surprise, Aww, I've seen my share of broken roads, if not roadblocks, but every one has contributed to growth. I'm still looking for new roads. Just stopping by to say hi. We had a great weekend. I'm sad it's over with so fast. Saturday after work we went to my brothers for a fish fry. He went to Canada over Labor Day weekend and caught all kind of northern for it, and he also had fresh shrimp shipped in from the golf. Oh that shrimp and fish were so good. Nothing like fresh sea food. Over 60 people showed up to eat.



Then on the way home that night Phil and I stopped at the haunted barn to go though that. It was a lot of fun. These people really put a lot into it.



On Sunday we had to head up to Sauk City for Phil's family reunion. We also had a blast seeing people we haven't seen in years, and the food was great there also. Not as good as the fresh fish and shrimp though.



Now it's back to work for us tomorrow. Hope you have a wonderful week. Hugs, Vicky

Just stopping by to say hi. It was a busy weekend for us again. The shop was really busy on Friday and Saturday. Phil took 4 hours off from work Friday night, so we were able to go out for fish fry. That was so nice.


We went to Karaoke on Saturday night. We had a great time with friends.


Then on Sunday, Al (willowcrkfrm) from IAH came into town to meet Phil and I. He brought his friend Heidi with him. It was really nice getting to know him. We talked at the shop for a bit, then went up to the Koffee Kup for some lunch and had a great talk about our two places. It sure sounds like he's got a very interesting place. Then we headed back to the shop to just sit, talk and look around. It was a great time. It's so nice to meet people I have talked to on this site.


Hope you had as good of a weekend as we did. It was just a nice lazy weekend, even though we were busy all the time. Hope you have a great week. Hugs, Vicky

Just stopping by to say Hi! It's been another busy weekend for us again. We went up north to work on our camper again today. Boy, I can't wait until it's done and we can finely sleep in it. It was a beautiful day to be working on it. Not to cold and not to hot. It's great to be back home again though. Otis and Baxter just love it up there also. They had so much fun. They are both crashed and sleeping right now.

We had to do a rush clean out of a house yesterday after we closed the shop. What a mess. The lady moved out and left most of her stuff. The people that bought her house are doing a flip house, so they need to get to work on it right away. That was a lot of rush packing to say the least. At least they let us put some of the stuff we didn't have time to move in the garage. We will have to go pick up another load tomorrow. At least everything is out of the house for them.

Next weekend I have a ghost hunting team coming in. We have worked with them many times. I think it will be fun.

Just stopping by to say hi. I think we are going to head up north to our land for the weekend, after we close the shop on Saturday. It will be so nice to get away. It's been awhile. I'm so looking forward to it. We still have a lot of work to get done on our new camper we have been building. It will be fun to take both Otis and Baxter with us. Otis just loves it and I'm sure Baxter will also. It will be all new to Baxter. I sure hope he likes camping as much as Otis does. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.  Hugs, Vicky

Hi, Just stopping by to say hi. I know I'm ready for the weekend also. I think it's going to be a working weekend though. Oh well. We have been so busy at the shop. We get our new boxer puppy, Baxter tomorrow after we close the shop. I just can't wait. We had plans to have the whole weekend off, until a lady came into the shop at the end of the day today and wants us to go look at her mothers estate up north. She needs everything moved out by next weekend. It's going to be a little over an hours drive, so we will have to take our trailer with us to start loading right away. I guess Otis and Baxter will be coming with us. I can't leave the new baby home all day long by himself. I just don't know where to turn anymore. LOL. It sure keeps us busy. I thought the older a person got the easier life was, but boy was I wrong. Hopefully in a few weeks we will be able to get away to spend some time up north at our land. I want to explain why I have not been here to much. My mother has been very sick and we have all been having to care for her. It's been some really ruff days and nights. We keep hoping she will get better. She takes two steps forward and then one back. Hopefully she will be doing better soon. I so enjoy all the comments left, and that's about all the time I have had time for is to read them. 

Reading my comments does help me cheer up some. Between both my mom and dad being sickly, we have also been very busy at the shop. I feel like I'm in a whirl wind some days. It's been touch and go with my mom, so please put her in your prayers. My dad is doing better.


Oh, and our new boxer puppy's name is going to be Baxter. At least that is what we are thinking right now. We haven't had much time to think, but I think that will be a cool name. Ya never know, it could change when we bring him home to live with us.
