CCGHS Halloween Party
Posted On 09/22/2008 12:10:14

We are planning our annual Halloween Party. People of Christian County IL are invited. So far it looks like it will be in our home unless someone would like to donate a place. It will be held on Oct. 25, 2008 in Taylorville, IL starting at 6:30pm. More details of the location is yet unknown. Like I said it might be in our home and again it might not. If you like to help plan or have any ideas to make this party ROCK email us at ccghs@newwavecomm.net. This is a potluck non-alcholic event. Thank you.

What scares you.
Posted On 07/07/2007 18:34:05

You have seen the horror movies, Sci/fi shows, and books.  What makes you clued to them but yet lookaway? What scares you so much that you just have to watch or read?

Also on investigations what would scare you the most?

Anderson Cemetery in Christian County , IL (Cemetery X)
Posted On 05/20/2007 20:47:49

I have read the books and did a little research on my own.

The Traylor, Anderson, and Fletcher
Haines Families were allied families, and the cemetery was
sometimes called by any of the three names. As the years went by each of the families left land behind to be used as a free burial ground. Now additional land has to be bought and charges are made.

Several members of the Leigh family have left a trust fund for the upkeep of the cemetery, but because of out - of - the community burials that have been buried there, it has been difficult for the upkeep. Located in Bear Creek Township near Palmer Illinois

The Cemetery is beautiful and well kept, but there are many unmarked graves. From the Christian County Genealogy Society Aug. 1996

Now for the Paranormal part of it:

I herad there are vortexes, A lady dressed in black, Cars unable to start while parked inside the cemetery or cars dieing not far after leaving the cemetery.

I know Troy Taylor, the Ghost Research Org. and the Mesa Project have all been out there. And of course we have been out there.

I was wondering if anyone else has any stories about this area that they would like to share.

I am also looking for some info on Hell's Half Arce. I got the history part but I heard it was haunted but no one would say anymore.

I am just trying to find out more about the County I live in.

Can Paranormal Investigations be Dangerous?
Posted On 04/09/2007 07:08:13

Some people think that the only danger is the groups lack of knowledge of the layout of the area, or the groups' members. Some believe that there is more danger lurking out there. From the demonic other such forces.

I have a poll up in the poll section and was also wondering what you all thought about this topic.

Do You Think Paranormal Investigations can be dangerous if so or not, then why?

Thank you.

From the Desk of IAH:
There are still issues with the inboxes. I'll get on it tomorrow and see if I can't figure out what the problem is. I apologize for any unusual things that may occur during this time. Maybe we really are haunted!?
