I would appreciate advice on how to identify a spirit, or spirits, who have apparently been trying to communicate with my husband and I for a few years now.  Sometimes months go by, and I think perhaps they've left to attempt communication with another more interesting family.  But then they once again make themselves known, as they have over the past couple of days.

My husband was the first to experience something out of the ordinary.  He kept insisting to me that when he was down in the family room, that someone kept tugging on his shirt.  Then he accused me of turning his shoes over.  He's very meticulous about lining his shoes up (I know, just a bit anal), and when he would go back into into his "fishing room" which is right off of the family room where he keeps his shoes and fishing gear, they would all be turned over. He and I are the only ones in the house, and I know I didn't do it.  At the time, I just laughed at him and told him he was imagining things.

Without going into boring detail, since that time my daughter-in-law, by niece, her fiance, and I have had experiences that we absolutely cannot explain.  These occurrences have turned me from a skeptic into a believer in the paranormal.  In fact, searching for explanations was what led me to IAH in the first place. It comforts me to read of the experiences that others have had with unexplainable occurrences.

But more to the point, is there any way to find out who these spirits are, or what they may want from us.  They're not scary, and I never feel afraid when I'm by myself.  On the contrary, I almost feel comforted.  But also curious.  Any ideas on this would be appreciated.
