Busy today and this week, but here's a little preview: we're picking up the finished episodes that Bedford H.S. filmed this Wednesday and on Thursday, T.H.O.R. will be conducting an investigation at another restaurant in NW Ohio. It's believe to have multiple instances of activity, including sudden appearances of full torso aparitions (the 3rd floor is even believed to have been a 'speak-easy' back during Prohibition). After we get our "Level of release" sign formed, I'll hopefully post more details.
On a darker note, we had to let a member go because of what we believed to be attempts to undermine our authority within the group. We didn't like to it, but it was necessary for the better of the group. It was difficult, but it had to be done.
After we get release permission and after our investigation on Thursday, I'll post more. See you in the shadows!!
Two and a half weeks ago, through our website, we were contacted by a senior at Bedford H.S. in Michigan. He was wanting to shoot/film a televison episode for his senior project covering urban legends/paranormal happenings. We said that we'd be glad to help (free exposure for our group would be awesome!) We shot the footage at two different local cemeteries and a 'crybaby bridge' (after having gotten permission, as we were actually able to visit two of them after dark!) He wanted us to do a mini-investigation of these areas for his "show". We were more than happy to help. He will be showing the finished episode on the Bedford, MI cable access channel and posting it on YouTube and on MySpace. As soon as it's availible, we'll post a blog and embed the link there and we'll be putting it on our website and on our MySpace page. He's also being very generous and making DVD copies of the finished project and giving them to both of us. We are both very grateful and honored that Karl chose us to do his "show" and we hope that we do nothing but further the exosure and the field of paranormal investigation. As for if we found anything, well......you'll have to wait for the 'webisode'. We have posted a few behind the scenes pics on our MySpace page in our photo album, feel freee to meet the young ladies and men from Bedford H.S. on the link below:

See you in the shadows!!
It's official, this July, Toledo Haunted Occurrences Research is off to Waverly Hills Sanitorium, just south of Louisville, KY. We're still figuring out our tactics and how will will be using our new DVR and wireless systems once we get them. We're going to be very busy the next few weeks/months. One of our new members has possibly gotten us into a home that is claimed by the owners to be overtly haunted. We're going to make contact with them soon and set up our next investigation. T.H.O.R.'s future appears bright, but we will be extremely busy over the next few months, if not for the rest of our year.
T.H.O.R. finished a residential investigation the first weekend in March. It took us a few days, but we got through close to 20 hours of footage and close to that amount of audio. We did have a couple of photographic "anomalies" that proved interesting, one of which was run through a couple of photo programs by our photo tech. What came back was interesting in that usually, when some opaque or white shows up on a photo, the programs relate back a wide spectrum of colors that make up that "white" color. Our progrmas came back showing no color at all.
We also had a few personal experiences that raised a few eyebrows. Nothing caught on video, but one of our investigators felt a "cold pressure" just above her left knee on a couch where our client and her husband have had incidents happen (i.e., the husband had his ankle pulled on by an unknown force while laying on the couch, and our client woke up to the feeling of pressure on her chest and what felt like a hand over her mouth). My co-founder felt a hand brush across the small of his back. Did I mention that he was standing in the doorway to the bathroom and there was no one behind him? (that we saw!)
We did catch a few EVP's on our digital voice recorders. If you want to hear them, they're on our group's website:
www.toledohauntedoccurrencesresearch.com , and click on the evidence page. They should be up under EVP's.
We are in the process of getting our group t-shirts made and we are also looking into a new member or two. Next, we're looking to set up our next investigation for sometime in May and we're working on getting a road trip set up for sometime in July to travel down to Waverly Hills in KY. That's about all for our latest endeavors. I'll keep y'all in the loop as far as our may investigation and where we'll turn up next!
Sorry to end on a sad note, but the restaurant where we 'cut our teeth' will be closing to normal, everyday restaurant operations. They're still, as of this time, taking group parties and functions, but are no longer open for regualr restaurant business. It's sad, becasue the food there was awesome!
It went very well. Bryan and I are in the process of going over all the data/evidence. We've gotten halfway through the video, but we still have all the audio, digital pics, and notes that all our investigators took to go through. Guess what I'll be doing today before work!? I'll share a story or two about what happened, but I've got to get the evidence gone over first.
We're kind of at an empass on a clock that we've encountered during a walk-through of a residence that we're going to be conducting an investigation in this weekend. Upon doing a base line with a Sperry, the room/basement had a slightly higher, over all reading, but when we passed the detector within 3 inches of an antique, electric clock, the readout on the Sperry maxed out and read an error. We took a Tri-Field, set it to only pick up natural EMF's and this clock buried the needle, over 1000 mg. We checked the electrical cord, it read a 0.3, nothing unusual, but when we passed the Tri-Field over the top of the clock, near the number 12, it buried the needle again. We seem to remember reading something, somewhere, that old clocks, in order to be able to be read in the dark, would have some minutely radioactive material mixed in with the paint/print on the faces so that they could be read at night, but we don't think that it would be enough to register over 1000 mg on a Tri-Field in 2008. So, what we're asking for is a little enlightenment or theories as to what this may be and if any of you have encountered something similar. Thanks in advance.

Okay, it's been well over the 'month long break' that I took on advice from my doctor. I feel great, re-energized, and ready to continue the ongoing saga of Toledo Haunted Occurrences Research (T.H.O.R.).
We've been busy developing our new members, to which I give a hearty 'Hello' to Dave, Kris, Kevin, and Bonnie. We are in the process of training them and bringing them up to speed, so to speek. We are also getting ready to finalize a return investigation to an establishment that I've chronicled in past blogs. That, we hope, will take place after the busy holiday season.
During my time off, my co-founder developed our website. If you wish to check it out, just go to www.toledohauntedoccurrencesresarch.com and feel feel to browse around. We don't have any evdience up yet, but contact info is availible there. We don't have any type of 'how-to' page as every paranormal group has one. If you ave any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We are more than willing to answer any questions and/or help.
That's about it for now, busy holiday season ya know.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS and HAPPY HAUNTING!!!!
