Hi Gang,
I haven't been on much as life has kept me very really busy. For the past year I have been involved in several writing and investigative projects that have taken up a lot of time. Guess what? They paid off.
First, my article about a daylight "stroll" through Fort Niagara was published in Haunted Times Magazine. Best of all they included 2 full page pics of the etheric mist that my pal Steve caught in one of the casemates.
Secondly, the book that I collaborated on hit the warehouses on July 1 and will be in local bookstores on the 30th. It is entitled "Haunted Rochester" (about the Rochester, NY area). I was part of a 4 person writing team that put the book together which was a lot of fun. While it is not a "hard evidential" work it will make an informative and fun read.
My latest area of interest in that of a recorded story of a Native American woman conviced of witchcraft and murdered in 1821. It was quite the case for its time and even has "sightings" that span into the 1960's.
The rest of my summer will be spent helping my wife around the house and going to the Spiritualist Camp in Lily Dale, NY where I take many classes and just some needed R&R.
So what's new with all of you?
Blessings to you all!

Hi Gang,
I regret to inform all of you of the passing of Mr. Harry Sayles, a certified medium in the NSAC, who resided in Buffalo, NY . Harry passed from this world on Tuesday leaving a void that will prove hard to fill.
I first met Harry at the Spiritualist Temple in East Aurora, NY. He wore his signature red sportscoat and I believe was telling a story about a local casino that he recently visited. He had a headfull of white hair and a classic ruddy complexion. Harry was also a true celt in mannerisms and frankness. If you were in his sights, boy you knew it.
Harry Sayles was an old school medium...he said it like it was and did not care if you did not like him or what spirit had to say. In fact I modeled much of my own gallery and podium style after his. He always started out his public readings with a joke or related something funny - then got into the meat and potatoes of the matters at hand. Once I remember him getting a twinkle in his eye that was often present when he was working. Spirit must have whispered something funny in his ear as he cold hardly continue with what he was attempting to pass to a member of the congregation. I guess that you had to have been there but I still remember it fondly.
Harry came up with the greatest sayings as he waited for spirit to touch in with him. My favorite was "Didn't you people bring any dead people with you?" That always brought forth a laugh and as we all know laughter raises the vibrations making spirit communication easier. I use it myself when I'm having a slow day or need to raise the vibrations of the congregation that I am serving.
Well Harry doesn't have to wait for the dead to touch in with him anymore. I only hope that he doesn't cause too much of a ruckus on the other side. I'll miss Harry. He really was one of the first people at the temple to encourage me with my studies, and as a matter of fact he was the first person who I gave a message to when I did my very first podium work. Talk about pressure...but Harry was really nice and told me that I had done a good job...even if my nervousness made my words stumble....
Harry was sometimes larger than life, I hope that he becomes larger than death itself.
See you on the other side old friend. Thanks for the inspiration and the next buck I put into a slot machine will be for you!

Hi Gang,
Yesterday, since I was on vacation and my pal GhostChaser had a day off we decided to do a mini investigation at Fort Niagara which is located in Youngstown, New York.
Here's the gig.....Since it is out of season there were virtually no visitors at the fort...we paid our admission and off we went running!
I had been a volunteer there for a few years so I took poor GhostChaser on a whirlwind tour with me chattering like an old washer woman about what went on here and what went on there......
Literally we had the place almost to ourselves - so we did some pics and EVP work in all of the buildings...and guess what?????? GhostChaser GOT ETHERIC MIST IN THE POWDER ROOM OF THE UNDERGROUND CASEMATES! I'm talking some really great shots!!!!!!!! Me...I feel like Charlie Brown....all of my pics...only came out nice and clear.
We both still need to go over the EVP's but this only goes to prove what I have been saying all along...there is no one good time to conduct an investigation. The pics were taken approx. 11AM!!!!! We tried to duplicate the pics by breathing near the lens (it was cold and damp) but these were definately not caused by breath!
So there you go...you don't need to have some grand investigation. Just find a location and go when it isn't too busy.
By the way we also visited the site of the Native American Hopwell burial mound in Lewison,NY as well as wandered other historically significant sites...
I'm not one to just sit around and wait for the paranormal to happen. When the opportunity is there I grab for it!!!!!!
So how was your day...lol

Hi Gang,
Thanks for stopping by!!!!!
As I wrote previously October was a very busy month. I was hoping that when November started off things would get a bit more relaxing...which of course they did not...lol
I am working with a local folklorist writing a few very short chapters on a nearby city's haunted sites. It has been a real education so far but has also taken up a lion's share of my time in the research phase. I have three written so far and have material for three more with the possibility of even more. It's just hard keeping focused with so many distractions going on.
I also have been handed a few investigation possibilities. One on Native American soil that is rather nasty in nature. Before I let any member of my team go on reservation lands I needed to consult a Native American mystic and also a mainstream clergyman just to cover all of my bases so to speak. Knowledge is power!!!!! Also I have been contacted by a woman who has a lot of activity in her friend's home but while I feel that there is something going on from the initial interview I will take a wait and see attitude. People sometimes get overwhelmed when dealing with this sort of thing so we will probably need to go on site in order to begin sorting thigs out for this nice lady.
Toss in my regular class and readings schedule, along with my day job and it really takes a bite ou if my day. That is a good thing as I tend to get myself into mischief when am bored....lol! Remember 50 is the new 30..or so they say!
While everything in my sphere is going well the local paranormal community is in some chaos. Jealousy, one-upmanship, territorial claims, ego's, and an unhealthy smattering of nastiness seems to have be sprinkled on many people involvd in this field. I am happy to report that is the reason why I enjoy staying a bit underground. This way no one feels threatened by what I do and I almost get along with most of the groups and mainstreamers around here. (Notice that I said "almost". We can't make everyone happy!) In fact I am excited as I will be meeting a representative of a newer paranormal investigation group that has been formed locally tonight. It's not so much that I want to join them but just network out and perhaps find some good people to bring in on cases when I need a few extra hands. It doesn't hurt to be nice to people however once burned I never make that mistake again.
So have a great day and a Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope that all of your future cases are productive and that all of you meet and network with honest and friendly new people in the field!

Hello Gang,
What a wild month October has been!
My pal Ghostchaser and I participated in Psychic Fairs, did lectures and taught classes, instructed at a paranormal investigator's workshop and cemetery walk, worked a pretty big local Haunted History Tour, attended a regional Dowsers meeting, and finally..... got my mug in the paper because I was doing a "spoon bending" demonstration at an event....WOW! Without a doubt this has been the most active month yet!!!!!!!
Currently I am doing some really intense research into the historic relics of the Spiritualist Movement in Rochester, NY - about 35 miles west of the Fox Cottage in Hydesville. What I have come across is facinating! I have been able to access out of print books, archival newspaper articles, and have added to my small yet very eclectic library by making purchases...all while sitting at my desk! Am I glad that the online age has evolved!!!!
An interesting item that I have come across is the principle behind octangular homes...built for health, spirituality, and interior space they have become a real point of study. I have personally seen three of them: one that houses the Medium's League located at the Spiritualist Camp in Lily Dale, NY, one that was moved to a museum, and one in a nearby town. Such fodder for an article!
I also have purchased a newspaper printed in 1865 where a medium in Rochester, NY went to trial because...and anyone who is a medium out there will appreciate this...did not apply and receive a "jugglery license". That is a license to juggle. It seems that mediums needed a license to bring greetings from beyond. Historically it was an attempt by mainstream religions and politicians to suppress the movement which caused the formation of the first large Spiritualist organization - the NSA - National Spiritualist Association.
I was a called in to consult on a poltergeist case however because it is Native American in scope and on reservation lands I decided to contact and do a hand off to a friend who is NA and is a mystic. Respect for cultures is just as important as respect for spirit.
This week we have a return visit to a home where the paranormal activity has increased over the past few months. Our first visit there was highly successful.
Whew....after I writing about my activities...I think that I will go and take a nap!

Hello Gang,
Sometimes these things just happen....
We needed to have our electric updated in the house so had a new service line along with an external generator outlet (hey we living in Buffalo, NY) installed. Well brain dead me forgot to unplug the TV....everything else was unplugged thankfully...well to make a long story short......the surge protector failed and we fried the TV, DVD, telephone, and the control box for the dish...
Here's the thing...I am thankful for the fact that we are able to have these upgrades done. Sure the TV and the rest of the stuff got ruined...but at least this work has made us safer in the long run....
Here's my other lesson - backup all of your paranormal files and evidence!!!!!! Now that would have really been bad to loose all of those things!!!!
When life gives you lemons make lemonaide!!!
Blessings for a great day

Hi Gang,
A few weeks ago I was invited to volunteer at a local Paranormal Expo. What the organizers wanted was for my pal Steve and I to take visitors on a daylight para investigation while explaining the why's and how's of what we do. I usually have reservations about doing events of this nature but I decided to help out.
The afternoon started off slowly but it was not a bust as a friend who is a great dowser stopped by. You know in these short interchanges with people you can certainly learn a lot...which we did. In fact we are now making plans to take his classes in dowsing! (We use "L" Rods in our work but there is so much more to the endeavor!)
As the day wore on we took quite a few people on our walks and I actually believe that we were able to show them that we weren't in this for only the thrill of the experience. We do investigations as an outreach of our religion - the proving that life continues on after the change called death.
We were able to pick up moving EMF readings along with doing demonstrations in spirit communication through "L" Rods. (Being an ordained spiritualist minister I also instructed everyone about protection and calling the highest and the best).
The event turned out to be a fun time where we met many great people! In between tours Steve and I gave demonstrations of "Spoonbending" which we learned this past summer at the Spiritualist Camp in Lily Dale, NY.
This was just another fun way to spread the word that "ghost hunters" are just normal, everyday people who are professional and caring in what we do.
I want to thank Psychic Keryn Reece of the Discovery Channel for inviting us to her Expo!!!!!!
So what are you guys up to????
Hi Gang,
There has been a lot of wonderful events that have come into play of late.
First I would like to say that my dog Ebony is back to her frisky self. After all of the surgery and hard work she is playing and running with the rest of the pack. She is always hungry now so I know that she feels good. So thanks again to all who had sent healing energy and prayers.
Now onto the latest....Talk about some great adventures... All of the lectures and classes that I attended at the Spiritualist Camp in Lily Dale, NY this past summer were awesome. Each year I try to go there as often as I can but this year was above board as I literally was there at least once per week for two months. While I once had a family connection there I still met so many new friends that now I have many places to hang my hat when Ebony and I wander down there.
Next the unfoldment classes that I teach are back on track. I have to brag about one of my students named Steve who did his very first podium readings at an open reading in Lily Dale this past August and actually did his first evening of readings this past Thursday. It only goes to show how determination and good intent will help a person become a clear channel or spirit. Great Job Steve!!!!!!!!!!
I have to mention that I did learn a skill that I had always wanted to learn....spoonbending! Yes you read that right! It is amazing to feel when the metal begins to soften and you can bend and twist a fork or spoon. I now use it as an example of how a thimble of belief and some "mind over matter" can change the structure of an object. This ties in with the concept that all things are vibrations...and a single thought will change the world!
Paranormal investigations have been quite productive. EVP collections as well as photographic evidence seems to be on the rise. I did several in NY and PA. We have been invited to several more investigations and I hope that we can fit them in before the snow flies.
Talk about how the Natural Laws work....I decided that I needed to shed some baggage that I had been carrying. Even though I had felt that I was not to blame in an unfortunate event I apologized in an e-mail not because I expected anything but it was the rightthing to do. By shedding this baggage I am now free to walk the path with more vigor than ever before.
Even though I taught classes, did readings, and, lectured on Spiritualism this past Sept...October looks to be even busier!!!! I took more bookings than I usually do and it looks to become a wonderful time!
To all of you who read these words I wish to send each of you blessings and energies for you to accomplish all of your dreams.
Blessings and Light,
Rev. Tim
Hi Gang,
My black lab Ebony wants to thank ALL of you who sent prayers and healing energies to her after her stomach surgery. It seems that the blockage totally "disappeared" during the actual surgery so nothing was found except some scar tissue. The emergency room vet was amazed after looking at the barium x-rays. At this writing she has lost some weight but is able to eat and drink on her own....her appitite is very slowly coming back and she is up to a half a can of "special" diet food per day.
Ebony is all stitched upight (28 to be exact) and ready for her next adventure. She has been walking around with her leash in her mouth and has been slowly hunting bugs so hopefully she will be able to come with me when I get back in the woods looking for Native American mounds and earthworks this Fall. (you can see a pic of her on my site...She and I were visiting the site of the Fox Sisters cottage in Hydesville, NY)
Again thank you all for the wonderful wishes and healings that you sent.
Blessings to you and yours,
Rev. Tim
