Boringdon Hall, Plymton, Devon
Situated only five miles from Plymouth City Centre, this Grade I listed Elizabethan Manor House has been restored to its former glory and retains an air of tranquility and grace. Room 15, 16 & 17 are all reportedly haunted by appartitions that sit on the end of beds and watch the occupants. The whole building Buzzes with an atmosphere and has many supposed ghosts.

After eventually finding the venue and not eating before hand!!! i got to the location at just gone 6pm... the rest of the investigation group arrive around 8:30pm. So had plenty of time to catch up with Angel and have a quick drink in the bar with her, Vince, Sara and Phil.
The DHN members that had managed to bag tickets for the location (only 6 of us out of 26!) grabbed the table at the back of the confrence room (to set the tone of being rebels and chocolate nickers!  ).

We were split into 4 groups; 3 led by Vince, Phil & Sara and another made up of Paul, TracyP and Pauls wife. Me and Angel were in the same group as Ian and 2 girls who were apparently pros and V sensitive having had done this many times before

Vigil 1 - Room 17 - Team leader Sara
Me and Angel took up position on one ofthe twin beds while the other girls took the other bed; Ian sat in the window and Sara had a chair by the door. From the word go the "girls" were rowdy not shutting up and shouting and screaming. There was a few noises down by the bathroom (the room was a suite and had a seperate bedroom along with a small stepped corridor with a bathroom off of it opposite the entrance) so Ian went to investigate and one of the girls went with him in her high heels boots and pulling get up... in short the room wasnt very active.... the looks on Angel's, Sara's and my faces on Angels camera must be classic.... the muttering, cursing and swearing all symaltanious. if any thing had happened in that room we wouldnt have heard any thing as they were so blooming loud, regarless of the warnings from Sara telling them to be quiet and that there was a group in the next room! Closer inspection by me of one of there bottles showed vodka and bloody strong vodka at that..... so what to report of this vigil? noisey bloody girls!!! and 4 very p****d off DHNers.

Vigil 2 - Conference room - Team Leader Vince
During the break between vigils Sara had had a word with Vince and Phil and Vince managed to get the girls out into the out side part of the room so me, Angel and ian could have some peace. The room had a strange feel to it and felt busy. we ahd a few bangs and taps. I suggested we have a sceance sitting on holding hands in the centre of the room. We had a few more bangs and taps and what sounded like some foot steps. Angel felt some one brush her face and a few minutes later ian reported a brush on his arm (angel hadnt said what she felt at the time). The only major occurance we had in the room was that when we were asking questions there were lots of really loud bangs from the doors down stairs in the toilets that correspondid with the; the toilets weremt that busy so me and angel investigated after the vigil and there were only 2 doors below that actually banged loudly the others closed gently and slow. so that was a mystery.

Vigil 3 - Rose Room & Bar - Team Leader Phil
As soon as i walked into the gallery area of the first floor I didnt like it, it felt restrictive; but the roof wasnt as high as the rest of the rooms in the hall so maybe thats what it was. It was kind of split into 3 sections upstairs the main gallery, the access and a seperate small back room. I was drawn to the back room, maybe as it was so dark in there but the two girls followed suit; i tried to sit quietly in the back corner but they were in full swing again... this time trying to chat up Phil! So I went and sat out in the main gallery area with Angel and Ian. It was really quiet; apart from the din of a ringing mobile phone and a giggly girl arguing with her boyfriend. Angel saw a figure on the ground floor walking past the bar door but other then that and Phil wanting to slap some sense into the two girls nothing to report.

Vigil 4 - Room 15 - Team Leader Sara
On the way upto this room we spotted the girls in the bar area with the two barmen that they were chatting up outside; so we legged it and locked ourselves into the the room to escape them! Me and Angel bagged in fourposter bed while Ian and Sara sat on the other side of the room near the bathroom. I had a strange feeling of falling while lying on the bed but put it down to triedness. I did hear a breathe in my ear from where no one was sitting. Sara and Ian both reported seeing a small cat like shadow run across the floor in the middle of the room towards the bed. A few hours later a group were talking on a break and a number of them in different groups had also seen this shadow.

Vigil 5 - Room 16 - Team Leader Vince
This time I nabbed half of the bed while Ian nabbed the other side. Vince sat on the stairs by the ensuite and angel sat on the door step. Again another quiet room apart from the boiler and the pipes for the bathroom. Nothing happened in this room; we had a good laugh when Tracy walkie talkied thought to Phil to let him know that their group had just found one of girls and one of the barmen up in the rose room in a rather compromising position  . Also Angel was sensing a male outside of the room making her feel like she shouldnt be in there and that a female in the past had hidden in that room for some time to avoid him; she felt very drained.

Vigil 6 - Free Time
For the start of free time me and Angel shut ourselves into the confrence room but it felt flat so we moved on after about 15mins. We went to the bar area and lazed on the sofas, the whole hotel felt quiet and calm. I did go back up to th egallery and rose room with Ian.... which to my amazement had a chair turn upside on its own ..... NOT!

All in all fantastic location.... very atmospheric.... but a pitty that it was so quiet.... i did manage to get lots of lovely photos though which i will post on here later!
I'd love to go back to this loctaion; plus it was only an hours drive each way for me
