Woodchester Mansion 26-Jan-2008
We got to the mansion when it was dark so unfortunatly i couldnt get any external pics of the building,
The back doors were opened up and the two guys in charge went to lightthe fire. Everyone stayed outside talking... me i grabbed my bags and disappearing into the black building; i couldnt be bothered to dig for my torch! lol all i could see was a faint light in the distance... i couldnt see how to get to it but i proceeded to walk around the corridors; alone, with no torch in the dark!!! it was fab a huge adrenalin rush lol

We started with a walk around the property with 2 chaps from the gloucester paranormal society (woodychester is their base) they showed us the parts we could go to... the couple of complete rooms and mainly where NOT to go... for fair of death lol 5 floors for us to investigate... i couldnt wait!!  the whole property is made of stone and is all carved really ornatly. It looks like it was done yesterday and the whole building is very dusty (hence the orbs) and wierd to see fireplaces 4 storeys up in mid air with no floor!! 

Next was a walk around with our medium for the night "spooky Stu" he talked about a cook singing in the kitchen and about a tall man doing a strange walk down on the ground floor corridors!
Requesting a volenter he got me to stand in a door way at the bottom of some fenced off stairs and asked me to answer some questions with the first thing that come to mind. male or female - male; taller or short - medium height; slim or chunky - stocky!; initial of first name - F infact i said fredrick; did he want me up there or not - NO not keen. Su said that my discription was correct but he was thinking of a man called Francis. Later on in the evening i ask the guys from GPS and they said that those stairs had been recently introduced to give accesto the back and that they was no history tothe stairs... in case u were wondering i was giving my first answers as they came into my head but they were also ... average answers. make of it what you will!
Each tim Stu wanted a volenter i obilged! lol down in the cellar he needed some one to dowse with rods to find an elemental - i found it! then we all started rocking... only the ones that had stood on that spot though (including the sceptics) i felt like some one was trying to push me back wards so i went to lean againest the wall; then it felt like i was being pushed down and forward from my shoulders. I ended up doubled over againest the wall and i found it very difficult to stand up straight; it took me a good 10mins. This might have happened though as i was very relaxed. although a large number of people in the cellar got back pain and needed to bend over.

Vigil one - first floor bathroom
One of only a few completed rooms in the property the bathroom is huge with a solid bath carved from stone.
Our group had nothing in this room. We moved to the corridor and that area too was silent.

During vigil 1 the group on the Gf had been disturbed by an alarm going off in the locked off offices. the GPS guys, stu and a group of 6 woman went with them to reset them. In leaving the area stu had called out and they had all heard the voice of a little girl shout hello back to them twice.

Vigil 2 - ground floor - north corridor
Our group along with the gps men moved to the corridor where the voice hadbeen heard.
The alarm went on and off on comand 3 times but i suspect it was on a delay or something... but why was it set off in the first place?
The area was quiet so we move down the corridor to the back door; which recently has been opening and closing on request. The whole area was flat so some of the group moved out side for a chat. back in the corridor i saw a flash of light like from a torch down around the bottom corner of corridor where we had been before i shouted and no one replied. About 5mins later 3 of us saw the same thing i shouted but got no answer me and the 2 lads i was with (the others were still outside) ran down the corridor and half way down the next one but no one was there. On the way back to my camcorder the view finder had opened... how did that happen?

Vigil 3 - cellar
Me and david left the remaining lads in our group for about 10mins while we went to take some photos. We all then did a sceance around the pillar in the celler. Through out the area was flat. And even though we provoked (people provoking in the past have been kicked) we got nada!

Vigil 4/5 - second floor/ third floor
After our lack of success and all the other groups getting stuff i asked if we could split our group up.
Me and Jon decided to be one group and not really looking forward to the upstairs alone i convinced the gps blokes to join us!
This floor is a corridor with unfinished rooms (most with a 2 storey drop to either side!)
We sat at the end of the corrdor and got a few s and bangs. After about 30mins i called out for the woman spirit called elizabeth... we got one lone footsep between my camcorder half way down the corridor and us. that was it.
We were about to give up and were talking about wheather ghosts know they are dead when we heard footsteps from the third floor above us... the group from that floor had already left past us!!
SO we went up stairs and carriedon our conversation. Nothing much happened but i did get some reall interesting anomolies on camera which i need to re-watch. There was a white mass that kept appearing and moving around the end window. When i checked with torches as i thought it was reflexion... the lights i kept seeing were well about the signs on the fence in front of the window and the window frame was wooden! i havent a clue what i was eeing but every tim ei said i could see it i vanished before any one else vould watch.


All in all a great location.. Yes it was flat for me but other people experianced stuff and its an amazing building. i cant wait to go again  its a typically fantastic gothic style haunted house
