Wilmont part 1.

Newspaper story

Yes, this is real. This is just another chapter in my life and this a cut down short version of the story. This was late December 95.

Many seen me speak of the wilmont story few have seen the news with it. I tell of here is some of the news that goes with it before I put up several blogs of the story. This part 1.

I will make commentary in the story.

I did speak to the authorities as well. After all of this as announced I did go into shock from the horror of it all for some time after. This is why I am careful and can be quiet at times in person.

I was told I am lucky I am not dead for suspect of knowing anything.

I was told I was up to be killed in conversations they had for knowing 'things".

It was on tape.

Four arrested in connection with 'murder-for-hire' plot

"The pictures where here."

Purnell ": paranoia and hard grasp on reality, worked at a Mexican

food joint"

Houghton: "Removed from the army from being mentally insane, worked at nursing home."

Cribbs: "Parents where in a real Christian Cult and abandoned him in the name of the cult. He ran a window cleaning business."

Painter: "Daughter of the mayor of Lynn Haven. She also under age and dating Mike.

They met at 15. She said she was 18. They where together two years before this story."

There where others in the house but not charged.

Two Bay County men were on their way to Montgomery, Ala. Tuesday night to face attempted-murder charges in connection with what

police have termed a``murder-for-hire'' plot. Authorities say the men, 28-year-old Clarence Purnell and 25-year-old Douglas Houghton, were hired to kill their roommate's grandparents.

"Pendragon note. I remember I thought them old. I am now 34 It feels strange. I also thought them harmless. It‘s odd to view my thoughts in my early 20‘s"

News story

Purnell and Houghton will be held on $250,000 bond in Montgomery.

Houghton and Purnell waived their extradition rights in Panama City Tuesday, Bay County Sheriff Guy Tunnell said. In the early morning hours of Dec. 18, Purnell and Houghton, who both lived in the 1100

block of Wilmont Avenue, allegedly shot an elderly couple while they slept in their Montgomery home.

"Pendragon note.

At Christmas they told me in a drunken stupor they shot them at the dead of night. I told them that is horrible and not funny at all.

Being most of our humor was morbid I thought it was a bad drunken joke.

They showed me a leather jacket covered in dry blood it smelled like dead deer. I will never forget that smell as long as I live. It burned my nostrils. I thought they where trying to scare me.

If they where it worked to say the least.

The glare on there faces was like that of ghoul. No longer any glimpse of humanity. My friend Mike looked like he won the Lotto. It was the worst feeling I ever felt. I liked His

grandparents and I think I was more upset then him.

The glare I will never forget."

I still have a feeling of horror thinking about it.

News story

Authorities say the couple's grandson, 21-year-old Michael Cribbs, agreed to pay Purnell and Houghton $10,500 to kill his grandparents, Patrick and Opal Davis. Cribbs believed he would inherit about $300,000 upon his grandparents' deaths, Tunnell said.

Pendragon note

I was horrified by his behavior.

People that mourn do not act happy even if it was Christmas. He acted transfixed. In fact something that was not him was guiding him. The house they where in had a long history of tragedy and murder as it was and was built over a well and gravesite that was there before a hurricane pulled the church that sat there into the Sea as much of the original town.

I found this out after much research. It was very hidden.

Months before this went on many séances and strange rituals both exorcism and spirit offerings where done. This house had no electricity or heat or cooling. When you would install it something would happen to dismiss it."

News story

Cribbs apparently told Purnell and Houghton where to find the key to his grandparents' home. Purnell, Houghton, Cribbs and his girlfriend, 17-year-old Jennifer Painter, all were roommates in Panama City. Purnell and Houghton entered the Davis' home in Montgomery about 4:35 a.m. on Dec. 18, jail records said. Bay County

Sheriff's Office Capt. Ralph Dyer said Purnell shot the couple with a shotgun he had brought from Panama City.``They left thinking

(Patrick and Opal Davis) were dead,'' Dyersaid. But the Davises survived the shooting.

Two days later, Cribbs and Painter went to visit Cribbs' grandparents, who were recovering in a Montgomery hospital.

After the visit, the Cribbs and Painter went to the Davis' home and stole a checkbook, authorities said. When the couple returned to Panama City, Cribbs wrote a check for $2,500 and forged his grandfather's name.

Pendragon note:

"He said also in drunken stupor also that he had his grandfather sign the check in the critical care as he “turned up the morphine“. It upsets me to think about it"

News story

That check apparently was meant to be part of the payment to Purnell and Houghton, authorities said. Meanwhile, Montgomery authorities had developed Cribbs as a suspect in the shooting of his grandparents.

Pendragon note.

"I think they spent it on Christmas like some sort of insanity boon." Every time Christmas rolls around I think and ponder on this. It gives me chills living though it. I about hate the holiday from the horror I went though. After that night even though I lent my name to the lease I refused to go back to the house. My every fiber of my being told me something horrible was in consumption in that home. I still at this point did not believe at all what I was told.”

News story

Montgomery Police Department detectives traveled to Bay County and began a joint investigation with the Bay County Sheriff's Office.

Stemming from that investigation, authorities last week arrested Cribbs and Painter and charged them with burglary for taking the Davis' check book. While in police custody, Cribbs confessed to his involvement in the shooting, Tunnell said.

When authorities searched the Wilmont Avenue residence Monday night, they arrested Purnell and Houghton. Dyer said the shooting was ``premeditated by design'' and he said charges in the case could be upgraded. Patrick Davis remained hospitalized Tuesday and is in ritical condition. Opal Davis' condition was not available. If

Patrick Davis dies, Purnell and Houghton ``very likely'' could be charged with murder, Dyer said. Cribbs, Purnell, Houghton and Painter also will be charged with conspiracy to commit murder - a first-degree felony, Tunnell said. That charge would be filed locally because the crime allegedly was planned in Bay County.

Pendragon note

“The laws in Alabama made it where Mike was charged as well.

Houghton "Doug" was set to a place for the insane.

One is out the other two still in Jail and the Girl never charged.

Dough would send me insane letters “I never reply” and the girl was sent to live with her mother.

That did not last long being she married a admitted vampire Satanist .

My life was never normal.

Here is a Idea of what I had to deal with in my teenage years when I was in Fl. The Girl who killed herself to the lost boys was a friend of mine.

This story below was sent to me by a friend of mine who still lives there.

This is recent in years. Gives you a idea of the local thought process.

I find the news story below very odd.

After the article is part 1.

From the News Herald.

SCOOBY GETS A CLUE

Panama City Police Department Detective Tom Harris and Bay County Sheriff's Office Lt. Chuck Polk led a teacher training session on gangs and the occult in August. Harris told teachers that they could help prevent occult-related problems if they increase awareness of indicators.

They should look for kids carrying certain books around school such as The Necronomicon, The Satanic Witch The Satanic Bible, and Bucklands complete guide to witchcraft, they said.

"We in law enforcement, we call that 'a clue.

We also see it as a idea they may be in the gangs here.'"

Harris said.

Other "clues," Harris discussed:

Heavy metal music like Danzig (whose video shows him carving up a girl hanging from a crucifix), AC/DC, Metallica and Dio (whose logo, when inverted, spells "Devil").

Horror movies like 976-EVIL, A Nightmare on Elm Street and one that has special significance to an incident in Bay County, The Lost Boys.

Several years ago, an Everitt Middle School student killed herself after writing letters to her friends in which she promised to return from the dead as a vampire like those in her favorite movie, The Lost Boys. She kept a "Book of Shadows" that contained her letters, poems and drawings. It chronicled "her descent down into" Satanism including a pact with devil, Harris said.

Goths: "You've seen them with the dark hair - dark everything, and they're very much involved in this stuff," Harris said. "These kids are generally depressed. Death, to them, is an option."

Tattoos of evil creatures, pentagrams, goat heads, the number 666 and other occult symbols.

Dungeons & Dragons, a board game that Harris said leads impressionable kids into an interest in casting spells and performing witchcraft rituals, and Ouija boards, which most people treat as a game but which was patented as "a tool for contacting" the dead.

"It just shows you what little it takes to take a kid and move him into this area of the occult." Harris said.

THOSE PESKY KIDS

With all due respect to the police officers who have to deal regularly with the worst our society produces, and whose perceptions of kids are understandably colored by such experiences - and in the knowledge that garbage-in computes to garbage-out: Teachers should tread carefully when judging books by the cover. If a teacher sees a child with any books talked about here they should inform parents and police.

Sure, you can tell a lot about a book by the jacket copy and cover art. But you can jump to conclusions as well as it being of no harm.

Better to be safe then sorry.

Not all kids dress as spiffily as Fred and Daphne, or even as naturally casual as Shaggy and Velma. Some of them dress more like Wednesday Addams. That doesn't mean they're evil, just that they have no fashion sense and need to go to church.

Some kids play games of imagination and strategy that grown-ups don't understand. Some play Pokemon as well as Magic. Playing D&D games is

not always a sign of losing touch with reality - any more so than those addicted to computer solitaire. Why let them start at all? Are you taking a chance with your child?

A budding Edgar Allan Poe may sit quietly in your classroom and read or write things that mystify you. He might play Vampire: The Masquerade or read books by H.P. Lovecraft or watch movies by Wes

Craven. That doesn't make the student a danger to the populace, just a little morbid or dark-humored, perhaps. They can become a danger if not watched. The Parents need to get involved before the morbid idea becomes a crime. Horror is fine but we must keep the protective line.

That student remains what each student should be - something to be encouraged toward "positive expressions" of creativity. We can do so as our help as adults to children.

Otherwise, you become the dragons.

………………………………...........................................................................................................

How I remember the story. Part 1.

When my friend told me about the house I was excited for him. I remember thinking well maybe this will be something good for him. Then he told me he did not have the credit for it I decided to sign for him.

I said I wanted to see it first. We drove into one of the decrepitated area’s in St. Andrews. Many of the houses where abandoned. Some large and stately others built for fisherman in the early 19th century still stood. What they all had in common was they where falling apart. They had countless families that had lived in them and it felt like the whole street was staring at us Large oak trees twisted and gnarled covered in Spanish moss covered the street. The landscape everywhere was out of control. Wild untrimmed bushes and 6 foot lawns covered in jungle overgrowth covered many of the yards. Some houses you could not see.

Just about anything you could think of that was illegal would go on down here. This was not any Ghetto this was a southern Ghetto.

Southern Ghetto’s differ greatly. People never lose there pride and act like they have something of value even if it is falling apart. What looked abandoned had people still living in it.

I felt odd. I walked up the old porch. It was a duplex. One side had been kept up while other side we where looking at was a mess. It had no front door knob. Just a hole. The front wall had two fireplaces showing and outside the front door was a old sycamore tree. Over grown and branches hanging on the roof. The door had 3 small windows in it. The porch railing had fallen into the grass. Crime tape was on a brown rug. There was a ceiling fan with no limbs hanging down. There was no air unit in the window. The kitchen was a mess with objects tossed everywhere. The power was still on. I walked into the kitchen. The floor creaked and a cabinets that was dated maybe 1960 covered in layers of paint swung open all at once with the shift of the floor. The problem living in the deep south and near the sea is the humidity and salt air ages everything quickly. This house felt very old. Yet, I date it 1950’s. I was intrigued it was like looking at the end of society. More of a archeological did then a home.

At the end of the small kitchen stood a French door. Crusted with grime you could not see though it. It opened up on as old closed in porch. It had a washer and dryer in it. Then all at once I saw it a huge hill. This was odd Fl. Is flat why is there a hill back here? None of the surrounding area’s had a hill. A huge oak tree oddly shaped was reaching up to the sky. In a perfect circle grew Lantana around it. Wild Lantana in a perfect circle. It was rather beautiful to me. Then I saw the old Shed. It looked like a much older fisherman’s shack. In front of it a huge open well.

We walked back into the duplex and went down the hall. The hall was odd the entry to the hall was round. I never seen a round entry like that. It lead to a huge bathroom. It was odd how big it was and so much wasted space. The bathroom had a window so it lead me think this place may have started out as a nursery and this place may have had a outhouse??? Outside the bathroom was a attic. I suddenly felt as I was intruding. I felt a hand grab me. No one was there. I felt cold standing in this hall. I said nothing and walked down around the corner to two bedrooms. I said ”Mike this only has 2 bedrooms how are you fitting all these people in here? He said him and Jen would get the master bedroom and Doug would get the other room and Clarence can live in the living room with Dwain.” I could make no reason in the conversation. I opened up the master Bedroom it was ok in Size and had 2 windows it was rather odd in shape and size and had a door that lead into a closet. I smelled cat pee all of a sudden. It was strong and over powering. I looked at the green shag carpet in horror. There was a sleeping bag on the floor. It was a odd feeling. A old air unit stared at me. I said lets see room number 2.… Room number 2 had a window but no light shined though. It was also very cold.

I said Mike this house is awful! He says I like it it’s great! I said what’s great about it? We went in the living room look at the built in shelves before the kitchen!!! I said I could pull them out for you and you could get another place….. We talked about it and he convinced me. I was his friend. I do almost anything to help a friend? Why you ask? I guess I am sucker . So we went to the reality office….. The woman there took my info said I had perfect credit and told me come back on Labor day…. I did no one was there. So I told my friend to go ahead and move in being he could not stay where he was and she had taken money.

So they moved in and I gave her a ear full. We got the papers finished and we had a oral agreement before.

The crap I go though I swear.

I went in early with Jen to clean the dump. I had gotten every cleaning chemical under the sun from my parents cleaning stash. I also had paint and locks. I then heard oh yes Baby you are the king! All this was missing was porn music. It was coming from down the hall. I opened the master bedroom and some hooker and a guy was going at it. I said hi we rented this dump. Can you kindly get the hell out? The hooker did not seem surprised but the old man was freaking out. I am a important man you can’t tell anybody about this! He gargled. I don’t care get the ??? out!! He put his pants on and ran out the door. He left his wallet in the bedroom. He ran at his car parked nearby and I tossed his wallet at him accidentally hitting the half dressed man in the head with it while the hooker went skipping down the street.

It was surreal to say the least. I now know what hillbilly hell is like.

Not sure what to say It was like you better skip you scanty Skippy hooker person….

When I went back in. I saw what looked like a black cat moving fast with six legs. I chased it all throughout the house till I got to the laundry room. It disappeared. I heard like a whisper ….The deed is done… It was trance like. I told Jen. She was intrigued..

I wanted to call the cops.

We could not call the cops no phone…. Jen said she did not want to tell the cops about the skipping hooker assault with a wallet and a 6 legged ghost cat….

Not much else to do so we cleaned the inside. Got rid of the trash and made it a home for people. It was clean and not that bad. I put as lock on the bathroom door. The front door I did not fix yet. The sun was setting.

Next there was a knock at the door. Is this where the party is? No I said… I shut the door and it would swing back open…. I saw maybe 20 teens across the street. They thought this place was abandoned and a great place to drink…. I told each of them no…. Then my friend moved all his crap in after a war at the trailer park…

Next blog Trailer park of doom…..
